It's not an innovation until it is proved useful or efficient.
People who buy such phones will never confess that it's actually nothing better than flat screen or its their mistake in buying one ( after paying good amount on so called innovation)
Have used samsung edge and edge plus in past ( sold it off within a week). Experience was nothing extraordinary. But many people bought it just to show- well we are different and we like to keep pace with latest technology and innovation.
An innovation is something when it totally changes the way things work and improves the efficiency of the gadget. And adoption to such changes have to be natural rather than a forced one.
Curved on all edges is something really weird.
Here are some facts people
I know it's easy to bash curved screens based on the limitations of your own minds
But guess what 5g and beyond will require an incredible amount of antennae bands that fit well in the phones glass itself especially with curved screens
But consumers don't give a damn about producing and its too hard to think and research...

With the exception of game phones where a flat screen with some bezels on both ends are needed, there is a real possibility that more flagship phones will be driven to curved screen design. In the beginning of 2020, the phone buyers were asking about "high refresh rate". Now, after the launch of P40 series, more and more people are asking, in various smartphone forums, "Is the screen curved? Waterfall or four-curved?"
I don't see what's all the fuss about curved displays, I simply can't stand the discoloration around the edges!
The design is driven by the market. The curved screen (including the rather extreme waterfall screen, and the four-curved design of P40 Series) is in high demand, although many people on this site don't share this view. The current trend is that the buyers demand that such curved screen be made available for lower-priced phones, for example, in the $400-$600 range. Ultimately it is driven by the market with the real purchasing power.
best designed so far! (dumB)
L.O.R.D, 07 Apr 2020I wonder what purpose does such a design serves, I don't see significant advantage over a regu... moreThe company can tell costumers they increased the screen/body ratio, despite you are not granted any benefit.
Also, more fragility. Easier to break = more money to them.
Only flat screen, those curved are bad for usage and not to mention very vulnerable. I won't buy such a thing
hexagon curved screens coming fast patent!

RazrFlip, 07 Apr 2020Another solution looking for a problem that doesn't exist. Flat screens make far more sense. But some people would mock saying that flat screen is so outdated. Ugh... -_-
Hope this would never be used... The flat screen of the s20 series is so good..

That is the dumbest and most useless idea ever.
