Deku1985, 07 Apr 2020I do not see the need to use wireless charging hopefully 1 or 2 versions of the 3 releases do ... moreUnused to think the same. Now, I really miss it. Got it 7yrs ago, in my Lumia 920. Left the charger in the box for a few months. Once I tried it, it was great not to have it wired whilst I slept.

I do not see the need to use wireless charging hopefully 1 or 2 versions of the 3 releases do not have wireless charging so it is not so expensive.

Anon, 07 Apr 2020OnePlus thinks it's Samsung or Apple lmao, pricing things that high It would be different if the product they are offering matches the performance of what Samsung and Apple are offering. But it doesn't match the performance. It exceeds it by at least twice the speed (comparing the third party 15W wireless charger on Samsung's website for $79.99USD and Apple offers a third party 7.5W charger for $39.99USD).

expectation about wireless charger:
- you can bring your phone anywhere that reaches the frequency like (2-5 meters) while its charging (wireless)

reality:
put your phone in the dock

- better to use a wired charger :X

This is good news but I guess the price this time will rival flagships from Samsung and Apple. They are trying to milk the Oxygen OS meaning they are trying to get as many bucks possible riding on the success of Oxygen OS. I'm currently using an Apple phone and planing to move to Android again. If the OnePlus 8 series provide good value for money then I may just switch to OnePlus.
