P320xsigman, 09 Apr 2020you guys are funny... you say there is a price issue its not cheap like they were 5 years ago... moreOk so you dont know the history of smart phones... **sign**
They gave them self a title Flagship killer... Meaning same performance with lower price tag and to top it of "NEVER SETTLE" logo... And claiming that they are different and all stuff that they are more budget friendly and user oriented...
But now it seems that they just want to reach samsung and iphone level branding...
Because black shark and Rog phones did a amazing job at beating them in their on game... So yes you can have both ways just have to be little smarter
Should these price leaks subsequently become verified, I wouldn't hesitate to urge the end of the OnePlus branding, with the replacement ZeroMinus to become the new company name.
ZeroMinus - 1k, Now Settled
Should these price leaks subsequently become verified, I wouldn't hesitate to declare the
1000 Euros for a OnePlus 8 Pro?
Makes more sense to spend that on the Find X2 Pro or get an S20+.
Oneplus 7T Pro and Huawei P30 Pro look a better offer than any new flagship. Not to mention the regular S10 is now 500 Euros brand new.
Bon, 10 Apr 2020How come such expensive phones but have only 16MP for front camera. This is a cheat. It should... moreI agree.. for such a high cost atleast 32 MP shud have been the standard... and also 30W wired charging is obsolete for a flagship now, atleast 50W should have been der
Lmao, and we all thought that the OnePlus 8 would be more cheaper than the Nokia 8.3 5G, guess we were all wrong.
Robb, 09 Apr 2020Thanks OnePlus! Was a good ride. But all Good thing must come to an end. I'll give iPhone a s... moreI also have an OP6. Should have got the OP7T Pro(McLaren) when I had the chance. Really going to miss the perfect punch-holeless design. The 8 Pro and 8 should have got more features considering the price hike for both the devices. Wonder if I'll be able to buy the 8 Pro
How come such expensive phones but have only 16MP for front camera. This is a cheat. It should be 32MP or more for such cost. Anyone agree!?
you guys are funny... you say there is a price issue its not cheap like they were 5 years ago.
First 5g antenna and the processor required to run 5g are inherently more expensive.
Second you all wanted a ip rating , well that cost a cap load of money to get that certification.
So they give you all what you want and they you fuss over price ?? Plus they have to make money and be profitable, not so easy in today's market.
I personally have the s20 ultra 5g snapdragon and this phone cost right under what I paid for my Dell g5 gaming laptop.
Can't have it both ways guys thats not how it works
Thanks OnePlus! Was a good ride. But all Good thing must come to an end.
I'll give iPhone a shot as my next phone. I'll hang on to my op6 for a while longer untill something exciting shows up
Chev, 09 Apr 2020I can't understand Pete said it will cost less than 1000 while 8 pro is more than 1000It's a marketing trick. He was talking about the vanilla OnePlus 8, not the Pro version.
Bury both. 2.5D screens must die.
Also, €730 starting price for the non-pro model? F you very much OnePlus.
Never settle, right. Five years ago. Your first models cost €400, not 730.
I can't understand Pete said it will cost less than 1000 while 8 pro is more than 1000
prophone, 09 Apr 2020LG V60 is your answer. Beats the pricing of op8 and is the battery champion and audio and defi... moreLG V60 is now in budget flagship category. Good well rounded phone.
Surely it beats the Realme X50 pro, iQOO, Reno series, Redmi K30 pro, OnePlus 8(regular version) etc.
But it still can't compete with proper flagships from Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, OnePlus, Xiaomi.
Anonymous , 09 Apr 2020Oneplus phones generally don't hold value and frankly struggle to sell in the future second ha... moreThey actually hold their value very well in second-hand sales. Take a look at Swappa and compare to other brands. Still less than iPhone value, though.
Vijay, 09 Apr 2020Oneplus chief already promised that the highest variant of OP 8 Pro will not touch $1000 mark ... moreAll of the prices here are at least 100 eur over if you go by what the CEO said. But that is the exchange rate for today and this can change things. Plus, manufacturers don't always go exactly by exchange rates so we will have to see what the launch prices are next week.
So much for a company who's sole purpose (past tense) is to sell high end spec-ed devices at a decent cost. OnePlus is ruining its name which held up high to this date. Say goodbye to your customers.
Thats uhh, pretty damn expensive. I guess they aren't going for flagship killer anymore. If the camera result is meh then it will be very hard to sell at that price.
