Jobaz, 09 Apr 2020What a dubious headline.........everyone has a right to be innovative. You can't be innovative when you take the innovation of someone else and make it your own with minimal changes.

(I'm not saying that they're stealing, mind you)

More of a publicity stunt to match apple than to actually serve its purpose. Credit cards are less popular in China as (generally) Chinese people prefer to pay for purchases outright rather than on credit. Also, Alipay and WeChat Pay dominate the market for mobile payments in China, as these payment platforms are far more accessible (does not require NFC, operates with QR codes).

A ton of companies have started offering their own cards in the last few years and in Sweden some of them have even opened their own banks...

I don't see how this will be even remotely close to being successful outside China at all.. well unless, they are not trying to do so in the first place. A stupid idea nonetheless.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2020LOL biggest copycats and wasnt there an article earlier saying chinese had the most patents?? ... moreThis is weird public misconception that is somehow spread across the internet. As long as companies have a business outside in western countries, even if they are originated from China, they are under the influence of laws of those countries - which means other companies or individuals can sue them whenever they want and win in the court with relative ease if it becomes proven that there is an IP infringement.

What a load of bull. The patents the chinese did are probably copied from other companies. We all know how China is protected from patent infringements and they copy whoever they want.

My bank card: my bank/Visa ... I had same my credit card since 1988.
                                  Apple card: Goldman Sach/Mastercard
                                  Huawei card: Chinese bank/Mastercard

                                  Samsung Pay: use any cards
                                  Google Pay: use any cards
                                  Apple Pay: use any cards?

I personally think the Huawei card is rubbish as you have to pay the annual fees.
