I don't know, it's not got the Google eco system to join others in it. Because the Chinese and Americans don't get along. Countries could let Americans do the spying outside their country, and stick to spying inside their own countries. American companies are happy with that. Then America would let them have more contracts.

Besides, video camera features on mobile phones really suck. It needs 1/2 inch + sensor, fast aperture liquid lens like the old galaxy note 4?, 300mb/s+, 8k, 12bit+, flat grading option, and done buttons for filming and adjustment. Even LG V60 makes most video camera phones embarrassed, it even has good audio input options, log, and storage options. One of those gimbal sensors too.

At first I thought that was the reason but then saw the regular P40's sample photos and it was indeed really sharp across the frame even in 50MP mode, which makes frame cropping completely nonsensical. Hopefully Mate 40 Pro's will bring back its predecessor's pure detail rendition back, I'm not a huge fan of the way P40 handles fine textures.

This coming lens is the answer to their inability to bring best quality on full sensor.
Its a must if they dont want to lie further about used sensor size.

Camera processing they already good. Maybe they will update it on new firmware to be as great as Mate 30 Pro image processing.

Colors take on P40 Pro RYYB now is surprisingly accurate, more than any Iphone & Samsung does. Thanks to the upgraded multi-spectrum color temperature sensor with support for 8 channels (up from 3) and it has AI AWB (white balance) algorithm for even more accurate color balance.

            - Exactly. Its the worse part of P40 now.

            'Get back on GMS'
            - If they can, they will. Unfortunately as Trump Administration exist, their future are uncertain.

'minimum QHD+ display with 120hz refresh rate'
            - As long as they use true media aspect ratio, i dont mind even its a FHD, with 90hz. 120hz are battery hog & just for bragging rights (near to none app/games content, except for scrolling). I'll prefer battery life more than gimmicky features.

'Price it lower to make it attractive to end user'
            - This. Always this one. But be realistic on the high end harware used.

'Launch latest Kirin with P series'
            - This doesnt matter, as long they release new flagship SOC once a year. Even Apple launch it every end of the year.

As for camera they are always best but, full res is using too much postprocessing and little stacking.
Most of all I would love some improvisation in camera field, like jpg+raw output, one shot hdr raw, ir sensitive and thermal camera, ir+uv lights... just few examples.
New color sensor was great addition though, mainly for ryyb sensor.

That's why your phone will have half it's value gone by the time you buy it with all these new models coming out each week.

For the headphone jack even Samsung drop it. I really don't care about microsd, those phones have a minimum of 256 gb. It's way more than enough. Speakers is a drawback but not a big one(for me at least). The only thing is to add more apps to its store.

Huawei always throws in the kitchen sink, like other Chinese companies, but paper specs rarely pen out. When I compare the Mate 30 shots to iPhone 11, I generally like Apple's overall look and balance better on my 85" TV. Apple's computational photography simply does better. I hope the new Pixels get better too, since Google's software magic is so good.

But this? I don't know who will buy this in a developed country, without GMS and with the knowledge that Huawei is funded and controlled by the Chinese government, and has access to all personal data.

Less screen curves, headphone jack, camera shutter button (since they advancing in camera), back to conventional microsd, quality stereo speakers (Mate 9 days).

I found, what it is... its something to get excited: improved edge-to-edge sharpness, minimal distortion, no chromatic aberrations and no vignetting, compared to conventional optical designs.
All those tech are awesome, I will miss a jack though, even basic version is now without it.

I only hope that the Mate 40 Pro's camera would repeat the same superb photo quality as the Mate 30 Pro. I am already disappointed with the P40 Pro's iPhone-like oversharpening mess despite having the same chipset as the Mate 30 Pro, and I definitely didn't want to see it happen again.
