Yesteryears flagship chip is still better than today's mid range chips. Very attractive offering BUT why not just pickup a G8 unlocked which could be found new for $379-$399?
LG just want to clear out v40 frame and housing.. I bet the internal arrangement and board will be similar to v40.
End, 10 Apr 2020S845 not bad, Samsung use shit P65 with 320€And shit exynos 9611
AnonD-908380, 10 Apr 2020A huge notch, really? Typical LG, completely out of touch with the market.not that huge. have you seen the notch on iphones?
PartTimePhoner, 10 Apr 2020Oh boo hoo %70 of the smartphones 2019-2020 have either a notch or a punchole and y'all still ... moreU don't like my comment/opinion? Just ignore it, buddy. No need to hate, pffft...
PartTimePhoner, 10 Apr 2020Oh boo hoo %70 of the smartphones 2019-2020 have either a notch or a punchole and y'all still ... moreI meant... look at other competitors, they "at least" got shrunken their notch (except Apple) so far.
This is the proper way to do mid-range imo. S845 is still better than a lot of the mid range offerings and maybe even cheaper for them to buy than the S765 and S730. The display wasn't skimped on and basically this phone checks every box people actually care about. Unfortunately for them it will probably release at a similar time as the Pixel 4a.

Except for Chipset and Display, every other spec is entry level. $200 phones do it better. Vivo S1 4GB / 128GB with Amoled display and 4500mah battery, Realme 5 Pro 6GB / 128GB with 48MP camera, SD 712.
Can LG define a target market for this phone? A Japanese Mobile phone gamer who doesn't leave home much and keeps his phone plugged in most of the time?
A huge notch, really? Typical LG, completely out of touch with the market.
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2020"i do not think japanese would have interest in such lower spec phone model" who the hell are ... moreWell he's kinda right. Japanese don't care about LG unless they stamp an anime exclusive branding on it. They care about iPhones.
Wtf is LG doing? I just don't understand their strategy for their mobile division. It makes no sense to me.
SmartButCool, 10 Apr 2020I just can't understand LG strategy. If this is wants to rivel Mid range offerings at least it... moreI would like to get a single good camera instead of multiple mediocre cameras and yes I think this is actually a very good phone for 350$. SD845 is still a beast, it has IP68 rating,1440p OLED display only issue I see with this phone is battery they should have used a 4000 mAh battery
