I don't get why people have difficulties reading properly before spewing bs. As for bloatware, I know there are ways with adb but some apps break the phone completely when removed, like 'security' because it's deeply built into MIUI.

Their issues could be caused by anything. But you were talking about ads and bloatware - turning them off is only a matter of user's skills.
JayrBars, 12 Apr 2020That is why they invented the word preference. "Preference", lol..
1) Why should anyone prefer curved displays when they have no actual reasons to exist?
2) Do people really have a choice? There are too many smartphones with high specs that have curved displays. Where is the choice of so-called "free market"?
3) Why should anyone prefer punch-hole selfie cameras that make pixels above it useless - it just makes no sense! Of course, no notch is better, but teardrop notch looks much better and less intrusive than punch-hole, and also hasn't problem of unused pixels of display.

This alone works on my S8 but not the Redmi. Do you get 80-100% less speed on Wifi (2,4 or 5GHz doesn't matter) with Bluetooth turned on? If yes for the latter, do you think that hundreds of people on Mi community that voted and posted having this issue are liars?

I myself got a Redmi Note 4 recently, tried out MIUI since I never use Xiaomi phones before and really hated it after scrolling every single options and feature. Flashed Havoc-OS in it, couldn't be any happier.
Phone-makers design the phones for the market(s) they intend to sell to. At least for Xiaomi's intended market, curved screen is definitely in. All the top flagship models of 2019 came with curved screens (typically water-fall curve), P30Pro, Vivo NEX 3, Mate30 Pro, and they all sold very well. For 2020, the debate is "Quad-Curved vs 2-Side Curved", not "Flat vs Curved". Using a cute phrase from a high school girl in a waiting line to get her favorite phone, "I want my phone curved like P40Pro, not like Mate30Pro."
Xiaomi is late to this party, but it is still in good company with Oppo Find X2 Pro (curved), OnePlus 8 Pro (curved), P40Pro+ (Quad-curved), P40Pro (Quad-curved), Honor 30 Pro+ (Quad-curved), etc.
The choice for flat screen is still there though, e.g., P40 (flat), Mate 30(flat), etc.

I wouldn't even pay 1/4 for this because of MIUI.
Where are ppl that say Xioami offers 2 x more than Samsung, Lg, Sony , Apple but for 1/3 of the price?
1000 euros this device.
Shit, in for review, might be wrong. You should buy a sample from a normal store to review. An y samples sent directly from the brand, cannot be trusted. It could be specially configured for a best review comment/score

I also waited for this and k30 pro zoom. Not sure which among them ill buy. Its really tempting going for the mi 10 pro though.
Almost all phones increased their price so ill expect all flagship will follow. I think im gonna get one among them by another 3 to 6 months.
Hoping the reviews will turn out good.

I waited for ages for this phone and then they go and price the eu version so high , even importing the global hong kong model costs 799 … that's crazy … its a great phone …. great spec … but …. its not worth between 800 and 1k for the global edition
Price is a complete turn off
Love the back, hate the front. If it has the same front as K30 Pro (flat, clean looking bezelless, pop up camera), might considering it. No IP rating.
The same price as P40 Pro & S20+ in my country. Ouch.
