I'm expecting insane (for this brand) price tag and bad sales of these phones as a result. Otherwise there is no reason to buy 8 series if there is a 7 Pro in your pocket. No jaw-dropping, mind-blowing upgrades over there. The most disappointing thing for me personally is design of new phones. I'm struggling to easily distinguish OnePlus 7 Pro / 7T Pro from OnePlus 8 Pro which is certainly not a good thing.
People expectation to have lower price for one plus 8 series is understandable as its one of the key factors for why One Plus is successful .but considering its 5G and is still reasonably price better than its competitors. my only concern is the camera which is not a flagship experience
No longer a flagship killer.Sad.And they say they listen to customer but why ur camera quality still sucks.
8: 16MP Sony IMX471 (F/2.0, fixed focus, EIS)
8Pro: 16MP Sony IMX471 (F/2.4, fixed focus, EIS)
Why 8Pro has a camera worse than 8???
Well TBH I remember chinese phone companies used to sell phones at a cheaper rate not at astronomical figures like IPHN n Sam..g. . Baffled by why they are charging so much money now. . The whole world is struggling with lockdown and Paycut but Smartphones are becoming costly and costly. .Thanks to Apple and Samsung for their Increased profits and not much R AND D..
it's funny that the Oneplus 8 is basically just a recycle from last gen
The latest display, camera and SoC upgrades are way too expensive for the manufacturer, hence the price hike.
Rumours are that, 120HZ AMOLED costs as much as $250, the SD865 around the same + IMX689 is now built using 10nm tech and is 80$ a piece!
That's probably the reason Google and Apple decided to stick to traditional sensors and up their processing game, rather than rely mostly on hardware upgrades.
Anonymous, 13 Apr 2020If 8 Pro is tipped to be 1020 euros, imagine the price if they make a 8T Pro with 865+, 16/512... moreHaha sure, with "Never Settle" their next phone with 5x periscope while competitors already have 10x models will cost 1600 euros, if you want a 10x periscope 2000 euros Never Settle!!!!! In prices...
When you realise that the ones writing this article might be using OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro...
Didn't people wanted water resistance and claimed about it many times? So here you go. It will be more expensive of course. And specs are awesome. So don't speak negative things about it.
Oneplus 8,8 Pro both are bad for asked price but seriously OP8 is seriously bad for asked price.Kts basically OP7T with SD865+5G while removing its telephoto cam.while OP7T was launced for €579 but this one os asking €720.
& OP8Pro is going around S20+ price tag with cheaper components.
My brother has OP7T while other has 6T both devices are good but they feel unfinished.Few days back i notice that in 7T there was subtle greenish hue showing in squares towards one side of display while displaying content with dark background.this is clearly a display panel issue.I saw similar thing in 6T.which means both have good displays on paper but their quality is clearly inferior compared to Other brands.
If 8 Pro is tipped to be 1020 euros, imagine the price if they make a 8T Pro with 865+, 16/512GB, periscope 5x and ufs3.1 ....
