Samsung s10e failed selling when everyone thiught... mores10e failed in sale because of price.
if someone make phone 145mm height 70mm width and max screen that can fit in, and that would be over 5", 4 or 6 Gb RAM, snapdragon 670 or higer (just mid-range), and battery 4500-5000mAh, something like Vivo U20, but smaller, that would be mother of all phones.

if company oursourced manufacturing from chinese company like foxcon its possible to have chinese standard ( even not always) and if some company build factory in chinese ofcourse they will implement their standard. so the result can be different

While I am a fan of compact phones and waiting to replace my 3 year old phone with a modern compact one, ground reality points to the fact that the majority don't want a compact phone. Samsung's S10e, A40 and A20e barely sold. Either that or they were never available in most parts of the world.
Besides, we now consider a 5.8 inch screen compact. I'd go to say a phone not more than 135mm in height and not more than 65mm in width is truly compact. Nevertheless, in these days of 6.5+inch phones. It seems anything under 70mm width and 150mm height is a respite from the shovels. I am surprised unlike laptops, the business phone hasn't picked up. There are the consumer laptops with the loud designs and cheap plastic, but there are also the prosumer laptops, with great internals and subtle externals with mattes and blacks and subtle design elements,
Phones are getting horrendous. Blingy glass and colours, obnoxious camera lenses, intrusive rounded corners and notches on the main work area. You don't see a ThinkPad or Macbook with such distasteful design. Can you imagine a modern phone look like it belongs on the table of a boardroom. It's like a Razerblade or Alienware laptop in the workspace.
I appreciate Sony's tasteful designs. But I'd say they need to go beyond the stock Android skin and increase marketing, visibility and support.
It looks awesome. IMO every phone maker must provide at least one modern compact smartphone for selection. Either you have small hand or big hand, the modern compact design would be even better when grasp in one hand, consider the screen-to-body ratio increased nowadays.

Doesn't matter how good the phone is, they always price it 30% higher than it should be, so it's competing against the higher segment from their competitors. Every time.

I'm glad one company has at least one manageable phone bellow 5,5 inches.
Remember they are mobile phones, mede to be mobile. So anything under 155mm tall fits in this category for me.

I happen to love Sony smartphones and I don't like to follow trends. Still rocking the highest ppi screen in the entire world too. So yeah, I'm good.
