If you don't want to buy it then don't! Just stop acting like a pretentious jackass and lecturing people that may be interested in these new smartphones. And, by the way, iPhones are great smartphones, too.
For INR 61,990, the specs for the OP8-Pro should have defaulted to:
- 512GB or 1TB storage
- Dedicated microSD slot
- UFS 3.1, hp-booster optimized
- 16 GB LPDDR4X ram
- 144Hz refresh rate with 180/240 Hz touch sampling
- 3.5mm audio jack
- 108MP main camera, f/1.4
- 24MP selfie camera, f/1.4
- OIS for both cams
- 8k video recording capability
- Notchless display with under display selfie camera
- IR Blaster
- Minimum 5000 MaH battery
- Minimum 60 Watt fast charging (0 to 100 in less than 40 mins, 1000 cycles guaranteed)
- Dual fingerprint sensors: In display + side power button
- Dedicated micro sd slot
- 32-bit/384kHz dedicated dac with 110db SNR or better
At that price point, the base config for the pro model is just too little for too much asking price. OP8 is destined to fail. I'd rather buy a Samsung at that price point.
Kapil, 13 Apr 2020Mi10, no wayBro, just the camera alone trumps last year's IMX 586 on iQOO and OnePlus 8 & the GW1 sensor on Realme X50 pro.
You can't take the budget flagship crown with weak cameras.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2020All of them iQOO, OnePlus 8, Realme X50 pro will fall against the MI 10 5g. Mi10, no way

$1942 in Canada for the S20 Ultra for 128GB version! like seriously, I won't buy a phone that cost almost 2k. (yes there is 0% financing, but still in the end it's a 2k phone)
Next is S20+, $1658 for 128GB version. It's a little cheaper, but hell no i'm still not spending $1600 for a phone know it's not even the top version of the series.
then there's the S20, $1384 for 128GB version. The LOWEST version still cost $1384! I spend $1384 and still not even getting the best version of the phone!
iPhone isn't any better either $1594 for the 64GB Pro Max -.-
when the Oneplus 7 Pro came out it was $985 for the 256GB version. Although it's not a fair comparison, just wanted to vent how insane Samsung prices have gotten :( And if Oneplus 8 does go up in price, i think it deserves to, just not too much please lol.
I don't understand why are people hating on this phone, it's not yet officially launched and the leaked price isnt that high coz GST has been increased in India and also sd 865 is expensive because of 5g,
The OnePlus 8 will face competition from realme x50 pro and iqoo in india but it will still sell because of OnePlus fanbase
OnePlus 8 pro doesn't have much of competition as Samsung s20 starts from 70500 INR so it will sell because they haven't cut corners this time as it has IP rating, wireless charging and they have promised better cameras... Let's wait for the launch and price and the reviews
Itsaboutash, 12 Apr 2020Which will be better option oneplus 8 pr0 or oppo find x2 pro?Oppo find x2 pro

But then again its 6 months later, and around 5k rs more. I dont think it makes non t outdated. I wouldnt even bother with oneplus this time, threy are even using lpddr4x on non pro. If they make it lpddr5 on t everyone would feel like idiots for sure. K30 pro looks great but only 60hz. Not that i care for 90 or 120 but a lot of people seem to want it.

At most, i see them putting wireless charging on 8T to force buyers. To buy their wireless charger. 120hz would likely stay on pro variant. The 50w charging only on the McLaren edition.

If the OnePlus 8 series couldn't convince people with camera this time around, then nobody is going to expect improvements in the camera department next iteration onwards. It will only be remembered as a performance oriented phone.
It took Google only 2 iterations of their smartphones to realise how shitty their camera is. They nailed it with their Pixel line up. My friend's original Pixel still takes great photographs.
typical upgrades.I don't know Huawei just feels like miles ahead in the game, just like Apple in 2009-2010.Pricing is the factor where most people will be considering about same specs in with upper tier brands would definitely cost 300$-500$ more.I might be wrong but feel that way.
Abhi-Darth-Plagueis, 12 Apr 2020"If they don't do R&D and just use other people's tech then sure, stay flagship with cheap... moreTrue, they might not have created anything new, the OLED panel is Samsung's, but they did do alot to the screen where Samsung didn't, 120hz panel with 1440p, 1.07billion colors vs 16.7millon, plus Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation.
Camera wise it's Sony's, but it was a collaboration with them and the IMX689 is exclusive so far to BKK only.
They also did add 30W wireless charging to the OP8 Pro
Everything thing is money, that's the way it is, you order the same pizza all the time it's going to be the same price, if you start adding more toppings, it's going to cost more.
So... Oneplus 8 is snapdragon 865 and newer designed version of oneplus 7T (some people might be excited by the fact that oneplus 7T phone might get cheaper but surely they will phase it out for oneplus 8) So oneplus fans are supposed to buy Oneplus 8 so they see their phones outdated in 6 months by oneplus 8T so yeah congrats oneplus GREAT formula
OnePlus *never* had even half-decent cameras.
Just fast phones. They can make all the fast phones they like however:
1. They're no Apple
2. They're yet a Chinese phone co.
3. No point paying this kind of premium only to have the device become outdated every 6 months and no updates after 24 months.
This days now apple making sense of price with update nd processing power....my god what the hell android

Please enlighten me as to, what exactly they've done with phone R&D that could be called true innovation? If anything they've just played apple card all this time, delaying innovation, (lack of AOD, wireless charging, useful secondary cams etc.)
If you call spending a good amount of 7 months over the 'new Logo' and 'Easy to read fonts' the real, massive R&D, then sure, I hear you brother.
