With that charging speed the battery must be higher than 6000mah so that it will became a solid phone..not a lower than 5000mah battery because the charging speed will became useless.
I prefered a phone with super fast charging but with a huge capacity of battery so that it will last longer

some people look at the brand like apple or samsung, some look at the cost, others look at the specs, battery etc.
so it is not just china as you say as there are people around the world who are waiting for this device especially after how lenovo hyped it alot, we will see whether the device is worth it or not after the release. now we just have to wait.
AnonD-844967, 13 Apr 2020Actually there are lots of people who care. But not worldwide, many of these "marvelous" gadgets are popular to some degree in china, which in itself is a huge market
For those who believe 90W charging will be or is bad for the battery i have to say we dont live in 90 or 2000 era its 2020 already and the technology evolved the same way as the batteries improved too.
Not only in capacity but also in way how to hold charge.
And for those who still dont believe keep using your 0,5a charger which will take days or maybe weeks to charge 5000 mAh battery.
Lenovo or any other manufacturer is not forcing you to use anything above 5W chargers.
Anonymous, 13 Apr 2020Crap phone so nobody cares....Said unknown person who never ever designed or invented anything.
Really funny i have to say. Thumbs down.
Shadocx, 13 Apr 2020I think most phones that charges at over 50W have dual cell batteries, and for example at 50W,... moreThey are probably using 45W + 45W using two batteries. To get 90W.
Internal vapor Chamber cooling will help reduce as well the tweaks in charger/battery, sofwta9, etc.
Whackcar, 13 Apr 2020Here comes the comments moaning about how "fast charging is bad for your battery"... The Le... moreThose are usually Apple, Sony and LG users. They'll shut up once they get fast charging on their phones.
Whackcar, 13 Apr 2020Exactly! If someone is overly concerned about protecting their battery, they can just use a st... moreMost ppl don't full charge the phone. Here ppl are getting 0 to 50 in merely 10 minutes.
SpiritWolf, 13 Apr 2020Actually it seems to be. Me and my friend bought P30 Pro in same day. I've used my 950XL 15W (... moreSo we are to believe that what? You two used the two different phones exactly the same way? Hours in gaming same, browsing same etc.
Do you imagine how many factors are in consideration?
How bad these fast chargers are gonna deplete the bateri we will learn in time.

Geralb, 13 Apr 2020Lenovo always lies i bet is something like 60w wire charging and 30w wireless charging combo t... morePfffft... if so, then they won't this confident enough because if it just like what u said, Oppo Ace 2 was 105W (65W wired and 40W wireless combo)
So now frying the battery and depleting its capacity faster is a trend so that you keep upgrading your phone in half a year due to the battery not holding proper capacity.

I've used my 950XL 15W (or was it 18W?) charger so far, friend is using bundled 40W. And guess what, after 14 months my phones battery endurance is meaningfully longer after homemade test.
Lenovo always lies i bet is something like 60w wire charging and 30w wireless charging combo to advertise that 90w charging speed
Anonymous, 13 Apr 2020You can always use 5w charger if is to much power 90w hehe, or if you're that concern about ba... moreExactly! If someone is overly concerned about protecting their battery, they can just use a standard charger to charge their phone "safely".
Having ultrafast charging capability is ideal for those who aren't concerned about battery damage over long-term use, or those who switch their phones frequently.
Anonymous, 13 Apr 2020This is lenovo. They are probably lyingRight, I don't fully trust Lienovo.
KebabSLO, 13 Apr 2020Instead of investing into extending battery life, they invest into opposite.
Anything above 4... moreI think most phones that charges at over 50W have dual cell batteries, and for example at 50W, it would charge 2 batteries at 25W each.
This Lenovo phone could be triple or quad cell battery, we don't know yet, if it's triple cell battery it would be charging each at 30W, if it's quad cell it would be at 22.5W.
Then there's also GaN chargers, I'm not sure if that helps as well.
