in my opinion, in inductive power transfer both coils get heated, air pulling vent should be on towards behind the phone to keep it cool and and increase life of its li ion battery, it is a planned obsolescence design.

Isnt the so called wireless ... moreAlmost every phone I've owned has had problems with the continuous insertion and removal of the USB/lightning cord from the phone's port. Over time, the port eventually becomes loose, resulting in considerable fiddling with the cable insertion process to ensure there is a electrical connection.

In spite of the fiddling, often during the charging over night, the charging stops because the electrical connection has been broken, even though the cable remains fully inserted in the port.

Wireless charging will thus end this headache of half-charged phones in the morning for me. I therefore welcome and endorse wireless charging for all.

Yeh, clever and all, but if you're putting the phone on a dock, it might as well charge with pogo pins and save a load of money.
