That A13 is an even bigger overkill than it is for the iPhone 13.
Let's wait for the thermal analysis but this SE should be able to run every game maxed out with little to no throttling for the next 3 years at least.

I see this one as a slightly cheaper but more future-proofed iP 8 (right, no 5G but I would say 4G isn't going anywhere in the next 5-6 years) with spare power to get it through its life cycle. The missing 3,5mm jack is a shame; but on the other hand, some people will find the second SIM (eSIM) handy. I'm convinced this phone has its niche in the market... But we may argue about the selling points for weeks, indeed :)

The only good thing about this phone is it's price. "The fastest chip"! Why? In such tiny screen sized phone? For gaming? Youtube? Netflix? Facebook? All of this is waaaaay better on bigger screen, even with weaker cpu. There is perfect phone for all of this, in super compact body and big screen with no bezel: Galaxy s10e. SD855, 5,8 inch, IP68, wireless charging, amoled FHD+, only few mm taller from iPhone, and the same price tag... That is, if you just need top specs. I would rather have bionic a11 (or even a10) chip in iPhone X, or Xr type body. It would still be compact, still capable cpu, but much more usable then this SE...

This phone is also future proof and will be updated for 5-7 years much longer than lg, much longer than Samsung. And for under 50 bucks you can keep getting the battery replaced at apple store for years. Try getting a newer Samsung lg battery replaced, hard to and expensive.

I got a s10 lite(i m a student so couldn't afford flagships and was looking for a upper mid range + flagship combo) at about 41k 512 gb/8gb
It supports 45 watt fast charging,hdr10,fhd resolution, 25 watt charger in box,4500mah cell which full fil all daily usage needs
It lacks glass back ,wireless charging, 3.5mm jack, stereo speakers ,ip rating

Do we need another oversized phone? No. The iPhone se, which I have is a bit big, the original iPhone is more the size Steve and co calculated as best form, and it feels great, but slightly too big and wide (11 cm X 5.5 cm with 4.5 inch+ full face screen, would be good). On the other side, the little palm phone probably a too small. There is a market for a conveniently small phone, particularly considering a lot of people have small hands and there being hardly any high end option with great video camera performance, but drowning in larger phones and old mediocre prepaid small phone. Around the size of the original iPhone is a happy balance.

But iP SE has fastest SoC still faster than flagship SD865,and maybe remain comparable to SD875.
iP SE also has faster wifi 6,IP67,better consumer support,much faster iOS compare to Xiaomi's crap iOS ripoff MIUI that is full of adds & bloat.
So both phones have their strengths & weaknesses.
It all depenpend on individuals choice.

Love this phone. Love the physical home button. If this had a 3.5mm headphone Jack, this phone would be perfect. This is why I started to buy 3-4 iPads because price/ performance, etc. Yes, I love the home button but most importantly the price. It's going to sell like hot cakes. Some of you won't like it but then don't buy it. This is amazing phone apple, wish Samsung would do something like this. I'm personally android, symbian, anything but apple person but i buy apple for family.
