Apple's New iPhone SE
1. The battery, design, charger and many not different from iPhone 8.
2. Little improvement in camera that's all.
Apple is just trying to get rid of their unsold stock simply changing little features.

... moreThis phone is good for $399 consider
1.it has fast SoC.
2.Fast SoC and apple support make this phone a dependable for a few (3-4) years to come.
3.It has decent camera and camera software.
Besides these points, there's nothing really to like. The display is good for year 2014 , so is its design, so is 64GB storage , etc.
$399 for this phone isn't getting you more than what Oneplus is offering for $699 , you are getting less.

IMO, putting white bezels on the white color version of Iphone SE2020 would have looked much better. Also, they could have easily improved the battery life of this phone...

Apple is not your friend, they want to make money, so thats why they went with the old design. Apple is living purely on brand name now, since they are not inovating anymore. They did that complicated 3d touch and google laughed at them with software that can do that. Now they tried with ipad lidar w/e, like who needs that? google tried it already with tango, 4 years ago and it didnt work.
Now you see why they need to make silly decisions like this? XR or 11 will cost probably 5$ more(to make) with full hd screen. but they dont want to cannibalise the pro lineup. silly stuff if you ask me. and people are not that stupid anymore.

The camera is the same as the iphone 8- no hardware changes at least- HDR at 30fps, only 3 times digital zoom, not optical (s20 ultra does 100 times digital zoom- it's digital zoom, pixelated so useless mostly). Front camera is still only 7MP- when budget phones have 8MP & 4K front cameras. What is the use of A13 on a 720p screen- if you run a game at 720p instead of 1440p, sure a snapdragon 820 could drive the same game in 720p even if on ultra settings. Plus the screen isn't high refresh rate so you don't see the extra horse power. Also 2GB ram is a joke if they keep it same as iphone 8, at that point the processor is a gimmick. They didn't add in a headphone jack, no apple ID, only 1 camera, no IP65/8 certification, they just sold you another iphone 8, they couldn't call it an iphone 9 because they just sell you another iphone 8 with software updates and a new processor that you thought had amazing power but wasn't utilised well on a 720p LCD panel, srsly the pixel 3a at £299 has a 1080p OLED screen, the bionic a13 with a meager 2GB ram to drive it (if not changed) what a beast of a phone. But it's apple, they can sell a stand for £1000, after that lost the chance of any surprises.

For 479€ I'd rather buy Huawei P30 Pro. Definitely better screen, battery, camera options and better all experience. I don't understand those huge bezels!! Why they didn't go with the notch?

If the camera is good, then I'll seriously consider it. I've been using OP3 for 4 years now and, while I've been thinking to change, no phone convinces me right now. I've always been anti-apple but if the quality is there, it's a steal for the price.

Actually this is more than ... moreTo be fair, you have to add VAT to that 399 USD price tag in the US, too. But I agree that the EUR/GBP price is higher (converting the base USD price shows it's some 100 GBP and 114 EUR less - even the EU/UK VAT isn't that much). However, let's give that to the Americans - their company, their price policy ;) I've seen many cases of importing an iPhone from holiday/business trip in US in the past but that's out of question in the near future.
