They shouldve stoped selling the iphone 7. my parents pre ordered the iphone se2 fpr my first phone. In my school no one brings samsung phones to school just because od the brand. I really like samsung because of the cameras and affordability. nonody in the school has an iphone 7 or a 7 plus but a lot of them have an iphone 8.
apple should do a better job at making phone because the only people that are mainly buying their phones are popular kids

Djellal, 16 Apr 2020And camera dude, maybe it's just one camera but we all know what it can do Apple has been preised to have a good camera since ever, i tough never seen a good camera in apple, just some wannabes commenting about how good it is, they probably never actually used a smartphone with a good camera, my lumia 1020's camera kills every iphone in 2 seconds, but well, yeah, we all know hat that camera can do, if i may ask, what is that? Nothing other then taking an avarage normal mobile device photo?

Without a tear down it is impossible to know what exactly what is shared and what is different, but we already know the costliest part is the one that has gone up.

Having the 8 available for 31 months already, it will likely rival if not beat the record setting lifespan of the 5S. Extending that another year means even more cost on the backend for a 1 time purchase.
The iPhone 8 yesterday was the same price as the new SE is today (at least in my country), making the 8 cheaper still would erode the incentive for Apple to spend more money on devs to support it. Bear in mind that Android manufacturers barely budget for 3 years of support (in last year only patches) and they get the OS for free, while Apple offers 4-5 years of full platform updates and absorbs the OS development cost entirely.

That's the WRONG way to look at Apple's marketing plan. The reason why Apple discontinue iphone8, even go as far as stop selling it are:
- ALL THE MATERIALS used to make iphone8, now re-purposed to be used to make iphone SE 2020. Why? Since "new" iphone, no matter what, ALWAYS have better SELLING point, therefore Apple can priced it higher than the BoM cost.
- The existance of iphone8 on market (right now) could potentially be a hindrance to iphone SE 2020.
Why? Because, it will be cheaper by now, as it is already 3 years old. With the ONLY difference in SoC, budget-conscious potential buyer might consider iphone8 over SE 2020 because the US$399 is the price tag VALID ONLY IN U.S
I dare to bet that after 6 months or so, Apple will resume their production of iphone8, because even 6 series & 7 are still being produced, why not 8?
Please stop praising Apple, for god sake. The only thing Apple make is a products which make your life HARDER, not easier, because they want to trap you in their accursed ecosystem; you even still need to install the goddamn itunes which crap like hell in non-mac pc just to copy some songs or videos! Do I also need to mention that their video codec support also crap?

If iPhone SE (2020) is cheaper and better than the iPhone 8 in everyway, no one will buy the iPhone 8. They probably stopped producing them a while ago and have just cleared out their stock. Personally, I'd rather go for the iPhone 11 than the iPhone SE (2020) or iPhone 8 plus. It has a modern design with bigger screen and better battery life.
