[deleted post]What budget? That overpriced old piece of junk SE2020?

It doens't matter people are not going to pay even the overpriced mid-rangers. One the don't sell a shit prices will be adjusted. It a matter of offer and demand. The market will be adressed without sales and adjusted accordingly. Time to time...

Dude, Apple is doing same thing for years and you guys never complained! So what's wrong with one plus if they walk through same way ? You should stop this double standard, if Apple can do this way what's wrong about others ? At least one plus is being more reasonable (by keeping lower price in China where its made , but Apple were keeping higher price in Chinese market comparing American market even though its made in China)

Oh shush, stop complaining. Apple products are so much cheaper in US in comparison to many other countries such as Aus and NZ. Happens both ways..

No need to complain about the pricing of oneplus as Apple uses the same strategy in India they charge 200 and above to all their products

That's nothing compared to more expensive brands but yet you want everything for free. Pretty embarrassing if you ask me.

There is a big jump in prices. It's very clear. HMD 8.3, Xiaomi MI 10, 10 Pro, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, Oppo Find X2, etc. Sure that Motorola will confirm it.

Only Huawei and Honor maintained them probably due to Google services. Hopefully Asus, Meizu and Lenovo will be more reasonable.

For the rest, don't buy their products until they change and drops that jump in prices. NO BUY = NO CUSTOMERS = ZERO PROFIT.

You have the power. Close your wallet.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2020Probably because you guys also complain about 300 dollar phones being "too expensive".Well we are proud that we can complain and get these greedy companies to decrease the price while you people loath them and end up giving more.
In any way it's a win situation for us.

It's no different than any other year. The prices are also up around 25% in China compared to the 7 series. This price difference between China and Europe and America always exists. The Chinese market is simple way more competitive and the local brands have no import duties. What's surprising is that this only seems to be reported this year. There has been no major change from previous years in terms of pricing in different markets

They added a big overprice above the taxes, etc. It's very clear we are not stupid. DON'T BUY until they drop their prices to a reasonable level. They don't have the top hardware, features and after sales level to skyrocket their prices suddenly. It's very clear. Charge the fools the covid-19 cost or whatever they have decided. I'm agree BOYCOTT!!!

Once this offer is lifted then it'll cost a lot again. S20's launch price was a joke. I mean, even last year's S10e costed the same as an iPhone XR and not better in any single way except the display. In SE Asia the S20 costs the same as a base iPhone 11. And remember that certain SE Asian countries impose higher taxes on Apple devices and account for its exchange rates. In Singapore the iPhone 11 is significantly cheaper than the S20.

NickSinha, 17 Apr 2020Why GSMArena didn't point it out when Apple launched SE2 in India at $555 for 64gb, $620 for 1... moreBecause your country is prejudiced to certain brands. Make no mistake, the iPhone 11 (64GB) in SE Asia costs exactly the same as a Samsung S20 (128GB)-which just means that the tax is high, but still in reasonable limits. In Singapore, the iPhone is far cheaper than the S20 (S20+ even gets you an iPhone 11 Pro). I feel sorry for you guys and those who mock Apple when you can't even try those handsets. I get it, iPhones are not better than many Android phones.

Payment of taxes is ethically correct, except if you are Amazon, Apple, Fakebook, Google - for these entities, the double Irish with a Dutch sandwich tax avoidance scheme is the order of the day.

Countries impose taxes on imported items, which increases the price of the handsets. You also need to account for shipping costs and possible repackaging. Xiaomi does not put lots of pushed ads in their US units. Only in India and SE Asia where ads are aggressive. Pushed ads can decrease the prices of the handset. And mandatory 5G also contributes to price hike.

Yeah, typical India ppl who are overly budget-conscious and even with a small price hike they'll complain as usual. Blame your country not the OEM. Dumb.

Idk why people would be angry. Apple does the same thing. Its prices in the US are lower when compared to Asian markets. Also, the delta there is much higher.

Other devices doesn't have that difference and pay equally all the taxes, transport, etc. So no. Obviously there is an inflation and a extra overprice simply because we are foreign and they want to suck from us extra money. But i have my wallet well closed for them. Never Settle!!!!!!! In prices. Same for those phones that do the same this year like MI 10 when other Mi phones and Redmi ones do not!!!!! It is a clear change and done on purpose.

DON'T BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!! At the end without sales they'll drop the prices to the real level they should. Boycott!!!!!!!!!!!! Share it in social media!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it normal for giving Home Area a better price. Apple has been doing this since Ages in Asia, a simple example of iPhone 11 Pro base starts at USD 999 in America but in India INR 106,600 (USD equivalent of USD 1,480) , second example iphone SE2 recently launched at 399 USD in the United States is launched at INR 42,500 (USD 590) in India. Plus US has various buyback schemes for old devices, such schemes are not avilable in India. Its Business...
