What Canon really needs to improve are autofocus and image processing. I have a Canon M50 and the autofocus is terrible. Not possible to focus on a common blackbird that is just a few meters away (50mm lens and 32mm lens) (single point autofocus, 10x loupe) , will always focus on the background, other M50 cameras or the Eos RP have the same issue.
The image processing is also quite bad. Canon really needs to improve noise reduction algorithms as well as their multi shot noise reduction mode (should be used with electronic shutter). Canon's multi shot noise reduction mode should at least output a single-exposure raw file. Canon also doesn't offer a shadows slider, which is super important (Sony, Google, Fujifilm and Samsung offer shadow settings). Canon's Auto Lighting Optimizer is too bad. Furthermore Canon should release Highlight Tone Priority D+3 with base Iso 400 (similar to Fuji's DR400.)
Canon also needs to offer more picture style settings, a "black" slider is super important. They also should offer better picture styles. Brightness of blue tones needs to be lower, so the sky looks better.
