"Meanwhile net profit in Q1 of 2020 dipped to 7.3%, compared to 8% of Q1 2019."
Incorrect. A correct statement should be:
"Meanwhile net profit increase in Q1 2020 is 7.3%, compared to that of 8% of Q1 2019."
Q1 of 2020 over Q1 of 2019: revenue increase, 1.4%; profit increase 7.3%.

a simple dude, 22 Apr 2020Why do I feel like they are lying.. How they can do better than last year even after their pro... moreWell because their p30 was already released with play services and continues to be sold in good numbers, they dominant their home premium market more so now than ever because of China USA trade warz Apple lost sales. Then there's the part where they make 5g chips and their infrastructure business continues to run, countries can't just pull the plug on them after they built their comms otherwise they would literally be starting from scratch and be behind 5-10 years. Tbh Huawei have given Samsung, LG, Google a good run for their money in the smartphone segment . All the years Samsung had complete dominance in Android space in North America, Europe for flagships

If I write it out, they will delete my comment. Two words: 1st Starts with "Ch" and ends with "ese" / 2nd Starts with "Dic" and ends with "ship".

Do you also need a history lesson to understand why the word "honesty" does not exist in the origin country of this brand? You should start thinking instead of asking for obvious answers, it's not difficult!

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2020That's a rhetorical question, you know the answer. It's a fare and legitimate question but you have failed to give answer.
I would also conclude you don't have a concrete answer but you are just relying on the rhetoric from some sections about what the company may or may not do.
I'm using word "may" because that's argument which has been put across that it "may be" used to spy and not that it has been used.

[deleted post]No thats where you wrong UK is also going to rely on Huawei alot less

"Two unnamed U.K. government officials told Bloomberg that it could be nearly impossible to pass legislation allowing Huawei to build the country's 5G infrastructure amid concerns that China may have concealed important data related to the novel coronavirus pandemic."

                  So seems Trumps doing well

Huawei is not primarily a smart phone maker, they are one of two global infrastructure comps ies that can do what they do, they for instance set up all the Scandinavian countries cell phone infrastructure, they lay underwater cables between continents, the only other company that can do this is very expensive and not as efficient and they are an American company supported by the white House because of their strategic nature (America can spy on you), at a time when new infrastructure is being rolled out around the world they have the ability to make a lot of money, the spying issue is overblown as the Americans are in competition with Huawei and play politics with it, judging by some of these comments the campaign against huawei is as far as the media side of things goes successful, unless there are paid trolls to respond to any huawei story no matter how marginal.

I ... moreQuote, "Why is GSMArena "reporting" about numbers provided by entities that are not even reputable? I don't like the lack of professionality in your articles. Believing obvious lies is one thing but spreading those is unacceptable."

Being critical of the information that it presented is all well and good, providing one can back up one's allegations with substantive proof. Do you have such evidence, or is it your opinion formed solely upon the continuous media stream of the assessment against Huawei.

Firstly have you checked the financial figures of Huawei from their auditors ? Once that is conducted, are you really in a position to conduct the forensic accounting of Huawei's books ?

Should you be unable to conduct the above, neither you or I, and for that matter any of us plebs, are in a position to cast aspersions to the validity of Huawei's financials.

In other words, we should refrain from spreading unverified details unless and until we have conducted a meticulous understanding and corroborating of the financial figures. This is unlikely to happen, so my advice to you, as it is to me - to stop promulgating unsubstantiated opinions or claims.
