For my case, some permissons disabled and some config adjusted. If you dig deeper may possible to manipulate with ADB.

MasEnha, 23 Apr 2020I'm Redmi Note 8 pro and never see any MIUI ads with official ROM.The amount of ads you will receive depends on which country you have selected in the region settings.
There is no doubt that ads does exist in MIUI as Xiaomi officially confirmed they will make it easier to disable ads in MIUI 11.
I use MIUI.EU (unofficial rom) on my Mi 6 so I don't know wherever or not this settings is implemented or not as MIUI.EU has ads completely disabled.
Back then I used MIUI 9 Global I did see a few ads in the Video and Security apps in the form of a banner.
Not a huge deal in my case, but it's possible Xiaomi made it's more intrusive in later versions of MIUI.

Meanwhile the tablets sales have decline year after year, especially Android ones.
Of course now they are not declining anymore, when you are at 0, you can't go lower than that.
Thus being said, people started to be more intelligent and weary about their purchasing. I mean, why have two devices (phone and tablet), one whom is definitely slower and with less features (just look at the A series tablets compare to the A series phones).
Nowadays you can buy a Samsung A40 with 150EUR. Full HD screen, Oled, fast charging. At the same money you can get the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, only with 720p screen, no OLED, no fast charging, slower CPU. But yeah, wow, you have bigger screen. Like this matters, when all the other things are bad.
The same comparison can be done between a Samsung A70 phone and a Galaxy Tab A 10" tablet.

Thrawn, 23 Apr 2020would rather they have skimped on the camera and gone with the snap 855 instead of the 765...5... more855 is over-priced. 48 camera is pretty affordable so it wouldn't much of a worth it difference to go for 855 than the 765 anyways. 765 is more energy efficient too.
