I'm getting a black 64 GB model to replace my lauch-day SE (2016) that's falling apart - it's a fine bundle for an iPhone with current processor, I'll get 3-4 years out of it easily.

AresinUAE, 26 Apr 2020Im not hating on apple for releasing a 2017 product with an improved processor. What i hate is... moreThe biggest thing that these YouTube reviewers aren't criticizing is that tiny 4.7 inch low resolution display.
This alone makes it a niche device. They labelled ROG 2 as a niche device but not this simply coz of the fruit logo.

Heck these same guys nitpick devices for lacking telephoto lens or face unlock or lack of expandable storage irrespective of price yet with iPhone, they choose to keep mum on its biggest shortcomings.

I still didn't understand why people are running behind "full bezel less" screens. Lil bit bezels are necessary on both sides. I tried gaming on new iphones, it was ok, but on samsung and huawei, the corners were registering the touch and it was too hard to play. Other solution was to hold the phone in a way to to not touch the screen corners, but it was too much uncomfortable. Phones like htc u12+ bezels are still ok.

JDK, 26 Apr 2020Sorry, but I would. Because you cannot expect a budget smartphone to have the latest and g... more"I promise you majority of the people in this world would agree; all they want is cheap price, good software support, and good camera(software processing, mainly)."

And That's why majority of ppl are using Android not Apple. It just works.
While Apple's marketshare is laughable.

sohail shafayat, 26 Apr 2020Thing is, the design has become obsolete and the 1821mAh battery is going to be patheticIt's already pathetic.
1 and a half minute video rendering with kinemaster sucks up 30% battery.

I think they should have integrated the device with a better battery power. 1800 mah is not gonna work.

BeObjective, 27 Apr 2020Yes I have and if you have read my whole post you would have seen that. I have never been fa... moreI think the issue here is not Android vs. iphone. The majority of people who wants or will buy this iphone SE 2020, are the ones who already are in Apple ecosystem and have older iphones (5s, original SE, 6, 6s, 7, 8). And trusty me, there are a lot of them. All this older phones are inferior to the iphone SE 2020. And yes, for this people this phone is a bargain.

Now, for Android users this is more complicated. The only true powerful compact and affordable phone, is at this point the Samsung S10e (Pixel 3a is a good phone, but not very powerful). Which, if you look at the numbers, didn't sell to well. Except for a few percentage of people, Android fans do not want small size phones (below 6"), sadly. Not anymore that is. That is the reason why Samsung never released a S20e.

So, conclusion, the iphone SE 2020 will sell to the people already in Apple ecosystem, or to those few Android people who want a small powerful size phone, but don't have any real options except the S10e, which by the way, is 1 year old model. So, most certainly it will receive maximum Android 11.

To me, A13 chip is overkill for this hardware. There is nothing on this phone that justifies the use of this chip. Like putting 6.5 L L539 V12 700hp motor in to Fiat 500 (old one). It looks "ancient" and sounds cool, but what is the purpose? You can't utilize the chipset (motor in previous example) to it's full potential, but Apple will charge a hefty price for it anyway.
Especially when you see real life usage of 4h screen on time...Including 5W charger...
You really want to charge your phone twice a day, 2-3 hours per charge?
This phone is everything but "bargain".

Or are you only paying $400 for the chipset and apple logo on the phone's back? Coz everything else about this phone is second grade (and i am being generous calling it second grade) by 2020 standards. And its not even $400 in every market, which makes it more of a reason to not buy it. I can easily name devices for similar prices which are better than this phone.

i think its a bargain... so i choose the cheapest configuration... "look for other options" is not among the choices... a battle between this and pixel 4a is interesting...
but, also waiting for xperia 10 II or xperia 5 II if it will exists... the latter is a proper flagship though and i cant find an xperia between 10 and 5...
