This is the phone I wanted 3 or 4 years ago, when so many other companies were already doing edgeless displays. I currently have a Moto Z4, but I'd gladly trade that in for the vanilla Edge. Unless Motorola does something new with moto mods, I think this is probably the end for the Moto Z line. I guess I'd have to go for the vanilla Edge because I'm with T-Mobile, not Verizon.
I have been waiting for this device for months brand new Motorola flagship with the SD865 In tow. As soon as my buddies Verizon store gets the demos in he's going to call me up when you go in the store for the day and see what I can do to unlock it carrier and bootloader.
Perfect except back cover should be curve.
Whete is moto x? Bring back that monster back

It's perfect. I expect Motorola to put a good decent DAC in it. Camera is fine and probably you could run gcam on it. SD card would be useful but not mandatory. IP rating is 99% not needed. The punchhole is decent also. Face unlock would be nice but fingerprint is fine also. Display seems balanced. Not too heavy. My next phone as I really miss the headphone jack as I'm listening to dad/dsf music a lately, more than taking photos.... A well balanced device.
Am disappointed in Moto was expecting a much better phone I guess I'll be buying the one plus 7t pro then 5g and in the UK u can hardly get 5g outside of London
I was really looking forward to the Moto Edge+, but Moto left me a bit disappointed.
I wanted this to be the perfect phone that doesn't miss out on any specific feature. SD Slot, IP certification, Wireless charging, Headphone jack, etc. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite that. No SD slot (on the Edge+), and no IP Rating (Edge/Edge+).
At that price point, i reckon the OnePlus 8 Pro is a better deal. You still miss out on the SD slot & Headphone Jack, but you get a much better screen & software support.
I guess the camera performance from the Edge+ will determine whether it's worth going for. Looking forward to the review.
