The vanilla version is exactly something I've been waiting for.
The only downside is that they only promise one Android update (Android 11 which should be released in 5 or so months). That's not too good. This was not mentioned in this article, but wasn't this confimed in their press release?

Sensor is big also and they need the lens to fit. Also, it seems that the lens cover is not so protruding because of thickness.

No jack, i don't like watercolor pictures, no sp02 sensors, heavy, less battery, heavy UI which i don't use anyway as Nova is cleaner, customizable and easier to use for me, Exynos in Europe, pricier, should i continue? I rather buy s10 + with Snapdragon but that's old anyway, with an ancient sensor. So no way is s20 ultra better than Moto Edge + for me . I don't need qhd resolution at 60Hz and it seems Moto has some IP protection but they didn't pay for certification. Anyway, washing your phone will corrode your usb-c port anyway... :)) SD card would be nice but it would also be slow, that's the only real missing point for me in edge +. Face unlock, nice, but you usually touch your phone anyway when you unlock it.

they are like 2 years late. Rounded display is done with majority of brands - wow moto has new rounded display! 1cm thick 200g brick? Remove the jack make it 8mm at least. I dont even like the look. Moto was always bold and recognizible. Lenovo is killing it.

3.5 jack is enough of reason to consider this, out of hi priced hi end flagships only xperia is the other one. Now you can choose 12mp or 108mp with a jack, both old gold brands.
Wonder what nokia comes out with, good to see them trying anyway, we would be all hanging with jack dongles otherwise.

This is one of the best devices that won't sell very well globally right up there with the Honor 30 and Nova 7. Huawei should still get good sales in China, but I think Motorola will struggle. It looks like they have decided to go down the HTC path.

It will depend on how mmWave support and 108MP main camera are implemented. If it shines on both, then this will be a great phone. Otherwise, ...

OP8 doesn't support Verizons mmWave 5g unless you buy it from Verizon directly, that's true, but how does that qualify as "doesn't work on Verizon". It offers full 4g support for the US, that's the only thing that matters today.

OnePlus 8 Pro has just about anything you can imagine... moreThe Oneplus8 Pro will not work on Verizon which has more coverage in rural areas of the US rendering it dead in the water to a huge number of people. Also on Black Friday and Cyber Monday most Verizon devices can be bought with huge discounts.
