Anonymous, 24 Apr 2020If that is "SuperZoom". Then the day they use a 50x hybrid one they should call it "HyperZoom"... moreIn reality, there is not even any optical zoom, which is when optical elements move to change the image focused on the image sensor. All of these phones simply have multiple cameras with different focal lengths.

Any second camera a phone has should be a telephoto lens, Just dunno when all these companies will learn to leave the gimmick back.

If that is "SuperZoom". Then the day they use a 50x hybrid one they should call it "HyperZoom" and the millenium when they reach the 60x or more call them "MegaHyperFromOtherUniverse Zoom" LOL

Then the funniest thing will be when the optical zoom in reality is no bigger than 2x - 3x :D

Realme seems to be lagging behind in two departments ( Camera performance & Build quality ). This SuperZoom is not going to provide much to users if overall camera performance is just average !!

JDK, 24 Apr 2020I am really confused, why did they go from realme x50 to realme x3? couldn't they just go from... moreBecause realme just makes too many phones these days. I get it, their phones have respectable quality, but when you realize that the company is making a myriad of models makes you think your device is actually inferior. Xiaomi and Oppo doesn't even make as many models as realme. Not to mention realme slashes handset prices too quickly as time passes. Also has a 6-month cycle instead of 1-year like many Xiaomi models (ex. K20 then K30)

Now we start seeing phones with P40 type rectangular camera housing.
Chinese share their tech between them like crazy.
Not sure why Huawei doesn't transfer the sensor and periscope tech to these brands which aren't banned from Google.

I am really confused, why did they go from realme x50 to realme x3? couldn't they just go from realme x50 to x51 or x60? Or is the single digit line a more "lite" series(x3 SuperZoom only has snapdragon 855+)

All the realme design almost the same for the camera arrangement. All the left side. The only different is gradient pattern. I bet this time will be the same too.
