I can't get mine to charge can anyone help
Samsung produce the display for Oneplus? Bosch produce some parts on Alfa Romeo and they are generally the cause of vehicle breaks down.
Same happens on my mclaren 7t pro
Heard of it happening on 7 pro as well
Fix it asap otherwise no more oneplus for me
here we go again
Vegetaholic, 26 Apr 2020Crappy OLED panels from One Plus again. Never had issues with OLEDS but I only used Samsung S ... moreLol the funny thing is that Samsung produces the displays for OnePlus.
IpsDisplay, 24 Apr 2020"displaymate A+rating" "OLED or no buy" No matter the alarming evidence of how disposabl... moreOLED is the only screen to go, there is no competition in that, problem is here One Plus cheap out providing garbage panels, I used best OLED screens for 7 years now and I can say there is no IPS panels who can match quality OLED. It is amazing how people never used OLED using IPS and dont really understand what they talking about :)
Crappy OLED panels from One Plus again. Never had issues with OLEDS but I only used Samsung S series phones for many years which has best OLED screens in market. It is probably BOE panels or something unacceptable from One Plus. Prices are so high of new devices but quality I see didint improve at all, thats why One Plus shoud be avoided, this company clearly now aiming at profits without putting quality first, dissapointing
Anonymous, 24 Apr 2020Pop-up is a #ToyPhone concept our phone is not toy they might be work now but wait 1-2 years t... moreYou mean like all those mechanical devices which run fine after decades of continual uses ? Sure...
So mechanical keyboard are toys, CD and floppy disk reader who still work 20 years latter (and use the SAME mechanism) are toys who don't last ?
Most 30 years old toys with electric motor who still work flawlessly nowaday are obviously a proof of how short it last...
That's the issue with peoples like you, you are all saying bad things about the pop up which are not based on any real and only criticize this tech based on theoretical "it CAN POTENTIALLY happen this and this" which doesn't apply in real life except for extremely rare cases.
Note that most/all other system with the same mechanical design, like a CD reader can make thousands of operation per days, even more, and their movement can be really harsh, and still work perfectly fine, the pop up only do a smooth linear movement few times a day, why would it fail after 2 years ?
And even if they failed (which is not something that happen in any significant number to even consider it is a likely scenario), without the front camera your phone still work perfectly fine, you just loose some comfort features of secondary use of the phone.
Yet, batteries, silicons and as proven here, displays didn't needed 2 years to fail, there are many report on such components failing before 2 years, the pop up doesn't, and unlike the pop up, they are primary components your phone can't work without.
Underdisplay camera, punch hole and notch (mainly those without 3D facial recognition) are the toy and stupid thing, the pop up isn't a temporary fix, it is THE best solution to have both a front camera (sensor array) and a fullscreen display at once without any drawback (no cut out, no image degradation, no wasted space on the display and status/notification bar, and no privacy), any other solution are partial or full of issues and compromises.
This is because of peoples like you and the stupid totally unfounded myth about pop up you say that ALL OF US (yes, we are many) who want pop up camera have to deal with a really tight and limited choice and are facing a disappearance of such tech.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020OLED screen going to die soon after micro led in 2021 and OLED one of the worst screen for you... moreCertainly not for me. I can't complain.
AlexP, 25 Apr 2020Thank you Samsung for such good displaySamsung keeps the best displays for Apple and themselves. All others get knock-offs :).
AlexP, 25 Apr 2020Save money buying display from Samsung?????Exactly. The ones that didn't pass Samsung testing and were rejected :).
piku, 25 Apr 2020For starters OLED can have infinite contrast and very deep blacks and once you use a OLED pane... moreOled having infinite contrast is a myth, the contrast is a value of how much more bright than its darkest color it can be, but even turned off, the material isn't a perfect black.
It would need an infinite black and an infinite bright capabilities to really reach infinite contrast.
That being said, Oled do offer way more contrast (darker blacks and brighter light) than LCD, and they indeed have many advantages over LCD, my favorite being Always On Display, but LCD still have their advantages too, it is more a matter of preferences than a real technological superiority of one over the other.
Orchard Inc., 25 Apr 2020What really gets my goat, is when people such as yourself opine which such confidence in spite... moreThe OnePlus 8 Pro has a State-of-the-Art Curved Full Screen Flexible OLED display panel from Samsung Display, which produces most of the Top Tier Smartphone displays for leading manufacturers. While the OLED display itself is flexible, the screen remains rigid under an outer hard cover glass.
Happy now.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020Comparing a 120hz oled with 60, wow.Crazy right? A more recent 120Hz screen having more problems than the old tech 60Hz screen?!?
AlexP, 25 Apr 2020Thank you Samsung for such good displayYeah. Even Apple was thanking Samsung for the great displays it provided for iPhone 11 Pros! And OnePlus too was thankful to Samsung for providing very good displays for their 7T Pros. Admit it, its OnePlus bad QC this time around.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020S20s comes with 120hz, yeah iPhone 11 max pro and note 10 plus comes with 60hz, but it’s a new... moreWhat really gets my goat, is when people such as yourself opine which such confidence in spite of the info given being absolutely full of falsehood.
Case in point, you remarked, "one plus using and [sic] old OLED panel that comes with galaxy S7 edge"
Where's your proof the OnePlus 8 Series uses "old OLED panel[s]" from four years ago (Galaxy S7 Edge) ?
Did you conduct any research to attest to your false claims prior to you being finger-trigger happy ?
Did you bother to read reviews about the OnePlus 8 Series display before commenting ?
Did you even bother to watch the launch event for the OnePlus 8 Series streamed on YouLube last Tuesday (21st April), where Ryan Fenwick (the OnePlus Head of Global Corporate PR) spent a significant time discussing the new display panel in the presentation ?
Of course it is evident you did none of the above (but feel free to challenge me).
I suggest in future don't even think about spouting false claims without having conducted your research, else I'll personally come to shred your misinformed comment, set it alight, before proceeding to shove it up where the sun don't shine.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020Comparing a 120hz oled with 60, wow.S20s comes with 120hz, yeah iPhone 11 max pro and note 10 plus comes with 60hz, but it’s a new OLED panel unlike one plus 8 pro old OLED panel that even get burn with a lighter and keeps mark on screen!.

It seems one plus using and old OLED panel that comes with galaxy S7 edge.
Is a new feature from zerominus! If you miss 1000 Euro from buying op8! Green from 100 Euro bill or green from dollar bill!
AlexP, 25 Apr 2020Save money buying display from Samsung?????Nokia Anew ( russian community linked to HMD) saidon twitter oled from LG costs more compared to Samsung's, they also think it is better.
And still some ppl think oled is better than LCD.
One tech that has some many cons cant be better.
This green issue is same of Samsung.
This reminds of the problems on LG V30 and Pixel 2XL.
The LG panels on Mate 20 Pro .
Same green thing on few units of Sony XZ3.
The red tint of S8
The green lines on iphone X.
The pink lines on S7 edge.
LCD phones do not have this. Oooooooooops !!!!
