Osama, 23 May 2012But pureview has much more pixels so overall it has much more noise than this :)have u seen the image samples of pureview ? ...it has extremely low levels of noise
Osama, 23 May 2012But pureview has much more pixels so overall it has much more noise than this :)Pureview pixel pitch is actually bigger than this if I'm not mistaken .... all due to the fact that it has a massive sensor. Again, if I'm not mistaken, at pixel level, Pureview performance looks similar to the one of a Canon Powershot SX220/SX230.
In theory, at wide angle, Pureview can deliver images with quality that rivals Nikon 1 system.
This Omnivision sensor looks blazing fast, though I rather have my little mirror-less camera if you don't mind. Though it is always good to see innovation on these small sensors.
Osama, 23 May 2012But pureview has much more pixels so overall it has much more noise than this :)i was waiting for a Company to Copy Nokia's PureView, YES! OmniVision! the 1st company to copy & Now Apple,HTC,Samsung,Sony Will Slowly copy this tech and give the following names:
Apple - i-View
Sony - x-view
HTC - One-View
Samsung - S-View.
Sea-Breeze, 23 May 2012here it comes as we said before : manufacturers copy pureview tech. and release another chip... moreYep, Apple knows "using" others ideas as innovation of their own. Iphone 5 should be full of [others ideas] surprises
Also still the Pureview sensor 2x bigger/larger than this tiny 1/2.3" .., pureview= 1/1.2" :)))
here it comes as we said before : manufacturers copy pureview tech. and release another chips with other names
expect the iPureview the Spureview copycat nokia tech.
Does anyone remember that news ?
(even if it lacks 4K, but *sigh*)
kodn, 23 May 2012What are you going to do with a 3840 x 2160 video at 30fps?
Even a 128GB version of a phone w... moreAlways same questions... let's get back 3 years ago and you asking us "What are you doing with 720p on your phone ? It won't fit your 8gb microsd".
They are (or haven't they already?) certifying h265 codec for that (same quality i ve read for twice or so compression).
Most of all new 2012 A/V amplifiers support 4K upscaling and passthrough. Only TV's are slacking atm but it's also due to lack of broadcasting/content as you know..
I can't wait to shoot stuff in that resolution, i (and my friends too) was pretty satisfied with 1080p from my SGS2 shooting an island from airplane..
do i have the screen to watch this quality video. not enough space too.

...actually, this is it:
come on!!!! it's just a copycat of nokia 808 pureview... make your own ideas!!!!! if I were nokia I will sue them for copying the ideas...
I prefer mobile camera that can record in high speed, perhaps 200 fps or more.
want to record fast paced events and played slow motioned later with crisp quality.
Thats the side effect of having pure view.... Its has just lifted the level of competition to an alltogether different level ... Keep the number coming in baby...
You guys still talking about 16MP !! How many years you need to come even closer to Nokia Pureview 808 !!
