Either the quality of Samsung is declining either they are very expensive compared to BOE, either both of them. Samsung is going down hill in 2020 faster than I have ever expected.

Tomwafc1864, 28 Apr 2020I would hardly base an entire evaluation of BOE oled panels on a batch of faulty screens made ... morethey are bad, their panels were also bad on some LG devices i belive the latest G series had also issues with the BOE made panels, the LG made panels were good, let's be real here samsung does make the best displays by far but they are very expensive, beside the SoC the display is the most expensive part in a smartphone and BOE's flagship displays are probably cheaper than samsung mid range displays. People will always complain but I am rather surprised they complain about samsung's displays now too cause for 10 years in a row 95% of the wanna be tech experts here loved and praised their displays to heaven and made fun of LCDs and cheaper amoleds especially the chinese made oleds lmao

I didn't find arecent information but in 2018 Samsung oled is cheaper

Although it is madness for Samsung to out source screen manufacturing when they make class leading panels themselves, perhaps a sign they are throwing in the towel on the display front and gunning for dominance in the internals market... (couldn't agree more about the Exynos rip off point, although this will likely change with Samsung recently dropping their crappy Mongoose cores)

Just wait and see - this will become present on future Samsung phones.
I'm so happy I definitively changed from Samsung to ROG Phone 2. When Samsung stops scamming international customers and give us the Snapdragon chip and the Adreno GPU I might change back to Samsung.
