As LG has forgotten Europe and no V series here, Sony - take my money, Xperia 1 ii will be my next phone as there is no LG V60 for EU.

Everyone agrees it lacks marketing skills to advertise the existing features well in their marketing content. The article which you posted about why no one cares is mostly due to their past 3-4 years in which Xperia always came with some baggage. But this year is going to be different at least as a starting point for good future. X1 II is perfect product for sony to come back to good old mobile business and It did already succeeded in creating the hype compared to previous years. I belive they heading in right directions after their Z series.
And coming back to the point how I know this is 4K only device?? Xperia 5 is an example. The significant difference between Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 is display resolution. If you want 4K, pay for 4K and get 4K. If you like small end resolution, small price, get X5. I still don't understand the hype for higher refresh rates. It is only an additional baggage to the battery life. It is not like sony never had 120Hz displays in the past locked at 60Hz. But You want slim, premium look mobile. Don't expect big batteries like 5000mAh in thin body. If one wants higher refresh rates, buy a gaming mobile. That's where higher refresh rates are actually useful and makes more sense than just animation. Look at S20 Ultra or OP8 Pro. They never look premium to me in any sense. But that's just my opinion like the article. Notches and Punch holes is whole different stories.
