Why all Nokia related threads have the highest number of comments ??
Tizen Takeover, 24 May 2012If Nokia puts MeeGo on the Pureview, it's Game Over for the competition. Plain and Simple.plain and simple

Anonymous, 24 May 2012If you read the articles more often here on gsmarena, you should have read the article that th... moreEven if just one more update (fp2), 808 does not need updates like android needs, it is feature-rich (look at specs) and stable. Do you buy a DSLR for software update?? of course not! 808 is best as it is!
pureview 808 is meant for the adventurous kind of people. Not for the ones that have nothing else to do other than gaming and shuffling between apps. It's true, symbian is a dying platform. But there isn't anything that symbian can't really do. It's good to have a full blown browser in android but accept it, most people browse the internet though their laptops using unlimited broadbands.
People should actually be thankful to nokia that they haven't gone for the ultra restricted windows platform (no video call, no external memory card, no bluetooth transfer, no personal mp3 ringtone, zune software transfer, poor video codec suppor, etc etc) or the ultra demanding android platform. Imagine, if 808 had android, what would have been its hardware... Quadcore cpu, 1gb ram, front camera, back camera, high capacity battery, ice cream sandwich, etc etc... And it would have easily cost you 50,000+INR or $1000+. How many of you would have gone for this??
Be happy for the fact that with 808 you're getting the bestest symbian ever.
Go for it guys. Pureview 808 is a masterpiece. And probably it's the last symbian.
Show some respect for the platform that has served you for so many years.
Tizen Takeover, 24 May 2012We sure have alot of Android fanboys in a nonAndroid Article. Hmm, I wonder why?you wonder why? we wanna protect you so you don't make a silly decission, and maybe it is treu that nokia's phones have a long life, but after 2 yours my phone is boring and i want a new one and the long life of the nokia come at the price of an very heavy phone (it feels like an brick)
Tizen Takeover, 24 May 2012If Nokia puts MeeGo on the Pureview, it's Game Over for the competition. Plain and Simple.Of course, but they should support MeeGo, not like N9... even without Nokia marketing support, N9 outsold lumia phones!
Was that Nokia's new OS? Lol!
C'mon Nokia... Cut the chase, put the damn PureView on an Android phone and put Nokia up there again. Really!
DP, 24 May 2012Laura, see my post below in reply to Lucz. If you want to read the actual article, just google... moreDear, I hope so. Because I love Nokia, and they really make the best hardware ever. Nokia is not like Samsung, HTC or Ericsson.. Just bad hardware and weak plastic gadgets. Nokia should persist and rule the phone's world again. I wish they had their unique OS like Apple without counting on Microsoft. They have the scientists and researchers. Why don't they do so?
What?, 24 May 2012Who said anything about phone not working???
Symbian is a dead OS, no. of apps that is avai... moretell me how many apps do you have on your phone?
if its more than 50000, ill agree that symbian is dead.
not everyone values apps only, because lets face it, its the key selling point for all iphones and androids
i will not buy this phone because i have n8
but a lot of people still appreciate quality over quantity. nokia phones have better build quality and call reception than any other maker. its a well known fact, all these phones you have today on the market will turn into dust in 3-4years. most phones (99%) older than 4 years are nokia.
this is also the reason why their sales are bad at the moment, people are now used to changing their phones every yeas, which just shows how "good" the today's phones are lol
DP, 24 May 2012Lucz, Nokia wanted freedom to innovate and contribute to OS which google was not ready to open... moreIf Nokia wanted just to innovate they should been sticking with Meego(an inovative OS).
Between the Nokia and Microsoft partnership I see only Elop's hand(Elop worked for Microsoft from January 2008 to September 2010 as the head of the Business Division ). If everything turns a succes, it's a succes and Microsoft has something to win, if it isn't Microsoft has a diyng company to buy cheaper than expected and still has something to win.
We sure have alot of Android fanboys in a nonAndroid Article. Hmm, I wonder why?
Anonymous, 24 May 2012innovation? they can still innovate wit microsoft alongside wit android isnt it?I suggest that you google the following words together. The first link in search result will have the story and will answer your question :-)
