Anonymous, 03 May 2020Literally every major company on the planet does this. Why does nobody care that Google/Apple/... moreMaybe because china has terrible human rights, you don't want them to know things about you, right. That doesn't mean I agree to facebook and google spying, I merely use facebook and for google my activity is disabled, put an anti tracker in your browser and you got rid of most spying.

Also, I just noticed that there's a setting in the Mi browser, "revoke authorisation," which quits/"resets" the browser. Next time you open it, it asks you to agree to their policies. They're not illegally doing this data collection, it's just another case of people going "lol I didn't read the terms and conditions, I just blindly accepted them, what's the worst that could happen," and then later "OMG THEY'RE COLLECTING OUR DATA I LITERALLY DID NOT CONSENT TO THIS"

It's either investigation on corporate scandals is trash or apple is telling the truth. The fact that xiaomi can be revealed clearly disproves the investigation claim. So....

Anon, 01 May 2020You haven't ever heard of dxomark, have you? Can you show me a source where you found that iPh... moreYo, DxO mark is just a single score. Plus, it isn't very trustworthy.

First of all, it ranks smartphones with higher megapixel cameras, periscope zoom cameras(all the hardware specs) way higher then what they should have been. The thing is, iPhone 11 pro doesn't excel in hardware, but in software(just like pixel line). Yes, hardware specs matter, but not as much as blown-out skies and autofocus issues. And, DxOmark doesn't seem to take that into account.

The reason xiaomi mi 10 pro has such a high score is because of that 108 MP camera and so called 10x hybrid zoom(in reality, it's just 3.7x zoom upscaled via cropping). But what it lacks is good software performance.

So it is up to you. Do you want a smartphone with super high MP cameras, large sensors, and extreme zoom, or do you prefer better software proccesing? I would prefer proccesing.

Xiaomi phones are cheap because they spy on everything you do on their phones and show ads in the UI. Enjoy high value for money, in exchange for private info.
Obviously the fans will pop and say: Google does that too. At least you can opt out in case of google unlike xiaomi's spyware.
