Or a choice with anything for that matter? It's like a jailer (Tim Cook) deciding what the prisoners (iOS users) get and what they don't.
This is why marketshare for Apple is around 20% while Android at around 80%.
Nobody wants to be locked in the prison world of Apple ecosystem.

Lol pro gamer move indeed if the prices are true. Say goodbye to the S20 Ultra and Find X2 Pro with that 12 Pro Max's price tbh. The pricing on non Pro are good also. Smaller body, 5G, oled screen plus fast processor with long software support for $649-749? Lots of Android brands really need to step up for that really.

But that does not hide that it has an insane trend of overpriced phones by high brands. Culture inherited from Apple. Although ironically, thanks to a misfortune like the COVID-19 pandemic ... For just one time in life and as an exception, perhaps these prices may be true ... taxes apart. Don't forget to add them.
Don't underestimate the competition. Furthermore, the hatred of what Apple represents is eternal. iOS remains a flawed system and Apple's elite a handful of Americans with no place in most of the world. Anyways good for parishioners at Apple and their church.

Considered the X2 Pro, now rather thinking about buying a Mi 10 as long as prices are reasonable in SE Asia. Of course, also includes the iPhone 12 ha ha.

Apple might have used a cheaper modem substitute, but hey, we don't know much about its quality (might be worse). Most of its features may be recycled again with only minor upgrades.

Oh come on everyone. Do you honestly expect APPLE of all companies not to charge a hefty premium for 5G? Even if they do have a phone with 5g this year you shouldn't believe for a second that it will cost less than 1000 dollars.

I'm not really sure if this is true, but if there would be a price increase, several people/sources point out that the price increase would be marginal. (It also depends on respective country tax imports and exchange rates).
So coming with the conclusion that even Apple is a premium brand, it has actually thought well about its customers. No need for features that customers don't ask (such as 120Hz display).
Samsung overcharges customers for its S20 (base S20 5G gets you an iPhone 11 Pro) but even 5G is not rolled out globally yet. Also comes with a load of issues such as failing camera AF, green tint display. And as usual, its insulting Exynos chipset.
If everything is true, welcome back, Apple.

I don't like iPhones but GodDANG these prices are SO much better than these other Android devices....even WITH 5G. Very impressed.

If the prices and the sizes will be real. Apple will do a pro gamer move against all the inflated prices & phones/phablets on the Android side. Even i will consider buying an Apple phone for the first time. :D
