And variety is a good thing... I prefer Xiaomi, Samsung, realme offer more devices in a wider price range with wider feature sets, than only one manufacturer (Apple) offering 4 or 5 devices.

Realme x2 Pro has a jack at least, realme x50 Pro is nothing special. If it had 5x optical zoom in this price, then it would more interesting.

And same case will be wirh this, under 6" screen sizes, at least, after september of 2020, and that's a good thing, for us, users of differente brands, there will be compact phones, bif sizes phones is there in the last half a year or so, so, something for all.

Apple is making its own SoC and modem. It doesn't have to pay the extra $100 Qualcomm charges SD865

NO.Is not first, you are right, but after iPhone 11 Pro/Max, every know OEM with Android os, started same trend (after first leaks of those iPhones). Even Google, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei..
Also, Apple is not first (in 2017) with notch, but Essential phone.. But, only after iPhone 10 (X), notch, even similar, big notch was a thing. So..
YES, for some reason, Apple is trendsetter, i guess, because of how many they sold for one year those iPhones(only 2-3 new model per year), Samsung (and Xiaomi, Huawei), needs 50 differente models, to have similar number, mostly because od midrange, or oow end devices (read, phones with cheap price). Thats why, last year on sexond place was Samsung Galaxy A10 in sales. Is it that phone better than past year S10, or Note 10, no is not, but it's a Samsung and it was around 130 euros, brand new.

The pair of dual-sized iPhone 12 (5.4" and 6.1") are competitively priced as compared to Android similarly priced phones, clear and simple.
The price war of attrition has begun, and at $649 (5.4") and $749 (6.1"), Apple has launched an assault on Android never seen before.
Flagship power at prices that should have been all along. Apple now mainly discriminates on display size alone.
The recently launched offerings from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Huawei look bewilderingly overpriced.
If one hasn't already done so, perhaps one ought to invest in some APPL shares, regardless of one's affection for Orchard Inc. A surge in 2021 is sure to result.

[deleted post]Hey, i'm not Apple fanboy, just saying, flagship phone with 5.4" screen size (and i guess, smaller in dimension, than, tiny, by today standards, iPhone SE 2020) is a good think? You like (to)big phones, you like giant fat brick with weight above 200g? You don't have PC/laptop, or tablet around, jus a phone? That's ok, but, like i said, compact phone (without giant top and botton, like in SE) is a good think. Not only for Apple users, later, Samung and Xiapomi will follow (like always), just look at S20, Plus, Ultra back camera design, maybe it's ugly on iPhone 11 Pro or Max, but also it's even uglier on those copy cats, esp on a flagship phone, even Huawei have same design, on P40 series.. So, botton line Jacky, compact phone in 2020/(good, and good designed) is great. Galaxy S20 also is not bad with dimensions, but here in EU, they (like in last 10 years), they ise Exynos, not Qualcomm (like in US, China).
