Vegetaholic, 03 May 20207nm AmD ryzen cpu's are more powerful when any intel offerings and much more efficient, so go ... moreoh, did you base your assumption from the TDPs you see on the specsheets? intel is now the "power hungry" cpu from the two. They now become the AMD from the past; stock with their ideology that they are better but the reality is not. they say 125watts but in actual it goes 200+-. its a shame though that still now, intel is still imitating what? fx9590 goes 5ghz from super past year now, and its where amd is so dumb in utilizing it. did the coin flipped now. lol
And the phone CPU got shrink to as low as 3nm.
I am dissapointed.
Anonymous, 01 May 2020Oh I don't know, perhaps AMD with its AM4 platform which is three years old and still continue... moreThere is rumour according to the news that, new am5 socket could be revealed later this year with ryzen 4000 series and rDNA2 graphics card releases. So, I don't think that the 1st to 3rd gen processors would be STUCKED UP FOR LONG IN LINE OF AMD RELEASES...
R.I.P AM4...😓😓😓(soon maybe)
Anonymous, 01 May 2020That might technology where amd is ahead. But in games I've to admit Intel performance is bett... moreYeah better by few frames per second, most all next gen games will be optimized for Ryzen cpus cause they sell like hotcakes, and will be no advantage even in there with those few frame rates
Anonymous, 01 May 2020You're one of those people who want 4nm for no other reason other than "4nm is supposedly bett... more7nm AmD ryzen cpu's are more powerful when any intel offerings and much more efficient, so go figure yourself why smaller manufacturing process is so important :)
Anonymous, 01 May 2020HT was enable in before as wellDid you read what I wrote? I said some models. HT was NOT enabled for i7-9700K for example.
Arif238, 01 May 2020What is AM4? Not to be rude or anything but, this is not the right place for this type of questions. There are a lot of articles and YouTube videos on these things now a days with great explanations. You should surf a little bit and you can get these questions answered very well. Happy hunting. Stay safe
intel is gone mad if they think anyone is interested to buy this crap when ZEN3 is around the corner hahhahahaha
Arif238, 01 May 2020What is AM4? AM4 is the name of the socket design (pin allignment of the contacts and what they do).
Arif238, 01 May 2020Does every motherboard support Linux? Actually in most of spec I see only windows support for ... moreIt depends on the motherboard maker if they have linux drivers, and also your other components and peripherals.
Anonymous, 01 May 2020Yes, and with Intel you are forced to change it every generation...Does every motherboard support Linux? Actually in most of spec I see only windows support for motherboards. I did dual boot on my laptop with windows same I wanted for the desktop but I am not sure. Also I saw many reviews on Amazon that wifi USB isn't supported on Linux only on windows it works. Any workaround for that?
They're still stuck on the same 14nm process while AMD thrives with 7nm. Who knows if inteL's gonna keep using it for 30 or 40 years. By that time AMDs prolly gonna have processors with 0.001nm process LMAOOOO
AnonD-864404, 01 May 2020Lol... What should we choose then, my friend? Oh I don't know, perhaps AMD with its AM4 platform which is three years old and still continues to support the latest Ryzen CPUs?
Anonymous, 01 May 2020Yes, and with Intel you are forced to change it every generation...Lol...
What should we choose then, my friend?
Wait till Apple starts using its own chips in their iMacs & MacBooks!

Arif238, 01 May 2020can we change the motherboard just like we can change cpu or gpu or ram? Yes, and with Intel you are forced to change it every generation...
