IpsDisplay, 01 May 2020What is intel even doing They are lucky amd doesn't have that great OEM support.. for now..... moreThat's true! Too much laziness from Intel
Mr. Anonymous, 01 May 2020Here we go again: New generation and new socket, and the same 14nm. At least they added some ... moreHT was enable in before as well
They should go back to 22nm and release a retro line, would look better than staying on14nm forever. I'm still on 7700 after so many years and have no plan on buying anything on 14nm. If I don't double performance at the same price/tdp as my old 7700, I won't buy anything.
Simon, 01 May 2020Skylake, 14nm, 215W power used at Turbo. They are now years behind AMD and they are releasing ... moreThat might technology where amd is ahead. But in games I've to admit Intel performance is better even I hate Intel now for their laziness and being overpriced
t, 01 May 2020Still 14nm????? Seriously???????????They're gonna introduce the 7nm in another 1 or 2 years
Here we go again: New generation and new socket, and the same 14nm.
At least they added some cores and enabled HT for some models. Price reduction is also welcome, but all that is still not enough to beat the AMD offerings at price/performance and power consumption.
Intel bug Inside :D nice 14 nm, PCIe 3.0 stupid boost, big TDP, low performance, big price :D
I really hope Intel can manage to refine the manufacturing process and move to 10 nm to stay competitive.
Also the high power consumption is BONKERS. Needs to get lower
t, 01 May 2020Still 14nm????? Seriously???????????You're one of those people who want 4nm for no other reason other than "4nm is supposedly better than 14nm therefore I want it and I want it now," right?
What is intel even doing
They are lucky amd doesn't have that great OEM support.. for now.....
Most OEMs are locked into contracts
Skylake, 14nm, 215W power used at Turbo. They are now years behind AMD and they are releasing the same product with more cores for the fifth year now.
t, 01 May 2020Still 14nm????? Seriously???????????That's what happen when you goes full capitalism and plan to voluntarily progress as slow as possible to sell easy to make (cheap) upgrade from generation to generation and prepare everything to have low cost to make and high cost to sell stuff (which include not getting any equipment to progress at all), but then your rival get back on track and while you stupidly fire all the smart guys (again because you don't plan on progressing that much anyway), but your rival hire them xD
That's pure and raw self inflicted karma ! If only it could happen more often on compagnies that do bad things to customers and other shady commercial strategy, Intel deserve to be stuck at 14nm for what they did.
Still 14nm????? Seriously???????????
