Guru, 06 May 2020Not good for the environment either.It doesn't matter how many models there are, as far as the environment goes. It's the same thing if a company releases 5 phone models, manufacturing 20 units of each, OR if it only makes 1 model, but 100 units of it.
Model diversity is good. The more models there are, the more chances you have of finding one with the exact features and design that you want (or think you need).

Is it that hard to have a low, mid, hig... moreMost manufacturers are doing this lately tho - flooding with the market with as many phones as possible, so that customers who aren't "techy" enough to do a research and just pick phones mostly randomly within their budget have higher chance of picking one of those endless copies of the phone from that manufacturer.

Exynos 990Haha I wouldn't be surprised, after all the hate Samsung got for their latest Exynos chipset (rightfully so, treating European market as a second-class citizens with worse product for same price), I image they're trying to get rid of them as soon as possible, probably selling them with a large discount...
...And Xiaomi will be quick to sell it for a premium price, because that's all they've been doing lately - pricing their phones like they're some luxury brand.
