Just because Energizer has a 10,000mAh battery smartphone doesn't mean 4000mAh is garbage, it's because of idiots like you that urge companies to race to get the smallest chip/biggest battery/fastest processor/bestest whatever by shaming technology that isn't even outdated by a decade. People like you want the very best and very latest 0.1nm SD9995, 1TB memory, 100,000mAh battery, 500mp 100x zoom camera, 2mm thick smartphone, then you get all surprised and butthurt when the prices are 5 -10x higher than your "centuries outdated, literally unusable LOL" tech.
hisilicon doesn't possess the required technology for 7nm, while samsung, tsmc and a few had begun manufacturing in 2018. Now the latter are racing for 5nm finfet. The top 10 was backed by huawei's internal supply, but they'll not catch up the big players in the near future, at least they won't be in top 5 for the next 5-10 years.

Intel are beyond useless. Still milking the 14+++nm, with 10nm no where in sight.
While US continues to play dirty politics n lies n cheats n smears, Huawei goes about its business n thrives. Good for u Huawei I wholly support u. Fk the US bully.
LilPhone, 07 May 2020Samsung's Exynos will be on the bottom of the list. HahaActually this is about full output in transistors count and Samsung is still probably on the first place (mostly thanks to DRAM/NAND production), eventually second after Intel. Nevertheless its huge for HiSilicone.
Anonymous, 06 May 2020not surprise as it backup by whole countryQualcomm backed by a whole continent *cough* North America *cough*
LilPhone, 07 May 2020Samsung's Exynos will be on the bottom of the list. HahaIt is not about which SOC is better or worse, moron, it is about total number per manufacturer, for the hundreds or different apications, from simple devices, cars, tv, cars, to more complex hardware
vexus, 07 May 2020that's why USA sanction Huawei. They afraid Huawei overtake Qualcomm in coming years. How short sighted childish remark, it os not about cellphones or microprocessors, it is about the whole telecom business, dumb people everywhere rant and babble about "cellphones", which is not really the case, the actual important operations for huawei are related to the really BIG and huge hardware telecomm companies and institutions use, not these peanuts from cellphones
Anonymous, 07 May 2020Yeah since Huawei phones doesn’t run any google services, no built in apps like face book, low... moreIn fact you can install them after you buy a device, nothing can stop community to port. And my Huawei works as fast as first day with GMS 2 years later , so that's not a reason why some still slow down over time ... Cmon apple hear me...

"U.S. to Allow Cooperation With Huawei on 5G Standards, Reuters Reports"
So, seems like US will have to work with Huawei anyway :).
There was no security threat after all. Was just about politics.
Glad to hear this.

Was it true Huawei also secured BSI privacy protection certificate for their EMUI? Being the first smartphone maker to get it?
Anonymous, 06 May 2020not surprise as it backup by whole countryYou mean Qualcomm aint backup by a country too? And an hegemon at that too.
GnuLinux, 06 May 2020After Snapdragon (Qualcomm) Kirin (HiSilicon) SoC's are on second place. They are a lot better... moreYeah since Huawei phones doesn’t run any google services, no built in apps like face book, lower screen resolution for sure there phones will runs good lol.
