The engineers from Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo have been working on Dimensity 1000 for many months, since late 2019. The general feedbacks are as follow:

- Thermal efficiency: Excellent, this is the area MediaTek has made most of the progress;
- 5G modem: Excellent, better than those offered by Qualcomm, in terms of performance and feature set;
- General permanence (cpu, gpu, etc), competitive, but less than Antutu score indicates.
- ISP is the real letdown. Usable if you don't fancy a full-blown flagship with the best (or near-best) camera setup.

Dimensity 1000+ is essentially D1000 with most improvements directed towards its ISP.

    I hope Mediatek has much attention now unlike on Mediatek X30 era which is the first 3 cluster CPU and the first PowerVR GPU 7 series.

    If Mediatek gain much attention. I bet in future, Mediatek will show real monster spec like using IMAGINATION A-SERIES GPU. Mediatek just play safe to against Qualqomm right now while getting attention one by one with G series on mid range market. That's my thoughts.

        Come on mediatek bring some competition so qualcomm will have to lower the price of its high end chips! Btw when you talk about a SoC specs, you should mention which process and which company manufactures it, because a N7+ from TSMC is different from 7nm EUV from samsung for example. 7nm doesn't mean much by itself, it's just a marketing term.

But this Dimenisty chipset has a 7+nm which as same as snapdragon's. So
              THERE WON'T BE HEATING PROBLEM . and also with integrated modem you have more power efficiency and low price which is great for a budget phone .

                Let see mediatek, you already surprised us with your G90. Hope to nail this for better competition with snapdragon and other inhouse chipsets.

                  Meh. Headline feature is the 144Hz? Display controller has to be on par or new for it work properly. The S20 Ultra has a weak display controller which its 120Hz refresh only works with 1080p resolution

                    Those issues are well documented on Exynos running S20 series.

                    Don't know about Redmi note 8 pro heating, but I do know that Xiaomi gave dedicated cooling on a budget device which means they were aware of the heating issue on the Mediatek Helio G90T.

                      UltraSave. Their marketing efforts make them sound like one of those budget cola brands that you never want to touch. Imagine all SoC makers trademarking every single feature they have, like OffCore! for saving power on the cores that aren't used! Or OnChip! for integrating the modem in the SoC because you know, Qualcomm didn't, and they're so eager to call it out! by inventing a new name each chance they get! Don't even start with the benchmarking cheats. MediaTek, the tasteless generic cheapshot.

                        Mediatek SoCs actually heats up pretty quickly, and they have issues related to software (brick, etc.). Mali GPU is also less suitable for gaming. Redmi Note 8 Pro heats up significantly in COD/PUBG Mobile at high settings (or low-medium graphics ultra framerate) and consumes a lot of battery.

                        While the SD chips are great, but overpriced thanks to its modem.

                              Look at the pixel spec sheet in last few years, it's just terrible.

                              Pixel only sells well in US where there isn't much choice apart from Samsung and Apple.
                              In other parts of the world, Pixel is largely left alone on the store shelf.
