Android 10 is around 2 months already on Redmi Note 8 Pro globally so i don't see a reason to delay it with MIUI12 unless there is some problem with optimization that i haven't read about.

MIUI is the best! It's the only Android stock launcher I have not replaced. It's a total iOS copy, but it's really well done (other than the ads in the supporting apps, which are very...uhm, Chinese... ;)

Its true that around 30 odd Xiaomi devices will get Miui 12 , but for most of the devices which are on android pie will not get all the Miui 12 features just like Miui 11. For example dirt cheap redmi 5A(Oreo) was updated to Miui 11 but did not get dark mode as it was only for android 9 devices.

If miui 12 will get redmi note 5 then it should run on android 9 too or we note 5 pro people get the android 10 update too. As of now i dont know that redmi note 5 ai dual cam should get droid 10 as never mind that last security update is from November or something

HYPR, 08 May 2020Yer. Learn to click links and read. Says so on eligible devices link. Eligible to 30 plus model Xiaomi phones? I didn't know Xiaomi sells so few phones and models. If one has a non-elegible YET phone bought from them, previously or very recently, be prepared to wait until the cows come home and bite the soil lonely.
Good example case is their Redmi Note 7 launched more than 12 months ago and STILL on Pie.
Bad marketing Vs tech support........
