RealLifePhones, 11 May 2020for a gaming phone the punch hole has to be in the top left because thats the least looked at ... moreon contrary, that spot is the most used by games, either in portrait or landscape mode, for your avatar, game setting, game status, your HP bar etc
Really hope this SoC delivers. This will open doors for more choice of quality 5G phones in the coming months, and more choice of quality 5G SoCs in years to come. Especially hope the forthcoming smartphones using this SoC will deliver the higher quality video this SoC has promised.
Anonymous, 11 May 2020can't believe OEMs have regressed into adopting LCDsRegression?
If you would do a little research you'd know better
We are now in a trend of high refresh rates and guess what.. LCD really reigns supreme in this category
Check out the most expensive gaming monitors with as high as 360hz they are LCD no OLED in sight
But as usual people only come on here with smartphone display knowledge and think it represents the reality of display technology overall
People don't even know there are flexible LCD called OLCD that's very similar to OLED
LCD has far more versatility and a brighter future

Vivo NEX S is still the Chinese king in audio.
ZolaIII, 11 May 2020Looks promising, I hope they will play with audio as they know. Expect anything from the AKM lineup like AK4377A. These are good integrated audio solutions for smartphones but nothing as great as ESS or Cirrus-logic counterparts. Personally I have seen a well implemented Qualcomm WCD9341 on my Meizu 16th easily beat the AKM AK4376 (Vivo V5 Plus) in audio quality. Driving power is more or less same on both.
Lately Vivo is not showing much interest in audio department after Vivo NEX S. All its subsequent successors are coming with AKMs only and is nowhere near the NEX S. Maybe the current trend of removing our beloved audio jack in flagships is also taking a toll on Vivo.
for a gaming phone the punch hole has to be in the top left because thats the least looked at part while gaming
This front camera abomination - with notches, teardrops, punch holes - renders a phone a must-not buy instantly.
