Pretty sure now that the non pro version that will come to India will have a mid range chip.
Although disappointing that it's just a rebranded K30 Pro, it's nice of Poco to continue with the flagship killer flag left by OnePlus. The lack of higher refresh rate is completely acceptable considering the price. I mean even Samsung disable the higher refresh rate by default on their S20, so most people probably won't realize it's there.
The only challenge for Xiaomi is availability. It's quite pointless having such a great product but people won't be able to buy it. The Poco F1 was already stunted with some colors and the armor edition not even available in some regions. Xiaomi is notorious in having such questionable distribution tactic, and often the advertised price is only valid in the announcement, with real market prices being much higher.

Anonymous, 12 May 2020Flagship phone is 1000 euros from when? Then if next year they ask 2000 euros... with people l... moreFrom the last year, if you count Apple then from 2017.. At least you can check the prices (it's free...), Look at Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G, same processor, same screen tehnology, similar or same battery, uglier back camera design, but one of the best camera (on Xiaomi phone), starting price (was) 999 euros, and this one is 499 euros. So, you tell me (if you like looking at spec), what is so special in Mi 10 Pro 5G (this one also have same SoC same 5G speed..), that cost 500 euros more? Refresh rate, curved 2015 style sides? Apple iPhone SE (here is base variant 540 euros), even does not count, with overkill battery, screen, and screen tehnology, i will say also design.. but i know there is a lot nostalgic people.. Then again, if you wanna nostalgic design, back camera design in this phone is same as on HMD phones, and HMD phones recyling design from (original) Nokia phones from decade or more, ago.. So, this is like original Nokia, and it is just 500 euros :)

Of course people are going to criticize, there are no perfect phones but once you start adding features and build quality, the price will go up too. So there's no solution. The answer is in the compromise: good nice plastic build people would accept that in trade for a low price, snap 865, dual speakers and 90Hz screen.

HappyBerry, 12 May 2020Regional availability is unfortunately a very real factor. Can't find k30 pro nor Zoom anywher... moreMaybe. But if you don't want to purchase online which is understandable. This model starts at 499 euros and the 8/256GB cost 599 euros. .Those are today prices of one year old flagships that in quality of cameras and extra features are a lot better. S10 5G cost 441 euros... each time more difficult to fing as it has an amazing price for what it is and almost was sold out. But an example of a phone that worth a lot more for the money you pay. There are others too available flagships better than an overpriced rebranded product.
It's a matter of search locally the right offers and better if you find stores that do stock clearance with the cheapest prices.
Mediatek sux, 12 May 2020Does anyother phone give 865 and 90hz for 500$? Realme x50 does in india but without 5g. Is th... moreOf course, if you only want SD865 no matter what and don't care about rest of the phone being garbage then yeah, it is the cheapest one right now. But since the difference between SD865 and SD855 is virtually non-existent, there's just no reason to pick this phone instead of e.g. Pixel 4 (90Hz screen + SIGNIFICANTLY better camera, already under 500 eur in many places... Also IP68 rating like a real flagship)
Even if Poco F2 started at 300 eur like Poco F1, I still wouldn't think it's a great deal because without the high refresh rate it's just not a proper flagship killer. It would be an alright deal. At 400 eur I'd think it's pretty bad deal, but okay if someone really doesn't want the high refresh rate for some reason. At 500 eur it's straight forward garbage.
Mediatek sux, 12 May 2020150$ for sd865? Where did you even pull that from? It is around 115$. There are cost breakdown in internet.
This is the reason why every 5G supported phone is over priced.
5G need external modem and antenna. Half ass solutions
BlackRose, 12 May 2020They gave everything. But no 90hz. :( Would personally just dial it back to 60hz anyway. High(er) refresh rate are not a feature I'd want to pay extra for.
Would pay extra for a smaller form factor though if it retains all the other features. Just cause it's nonexistent at the moment in the android "top cpu" world.
