I was a Sony fan
But their phones are over priced and less diversity . If they want to compete in this market they should reduce their price otherwise day by day they will lose their market.

Sony phones are overpriced and underspecc'ed. And aftersales service is terrible. Only the most hardcore Sony fans would continue to buy Xperia phones.

I love Sony the company and its other products and services. But I don't want an Xperia phone.

My last 3 phones are Sony. I have used Sony since 2012, from the first model it sold with Sony brand instead of Sony Ericsson. Last week I switched to LG v40 due to high price of Xperia 1 and I regret a lot. I am trying to get back to Sony now. Sony has a great design. I can't appreciate enough how perfect location it has for fingerprint scanner for example. It is easily reached when I hold it in the hands or when it lies on the table. I appreciate once again how great that Sony has avoided this stupid notch thing. Sony had only failed with battery but with the new model they upgraded it. The only thing to revise is pricing. Sony should reduce prices. That is the biggest obstacle to success. And Sony should also streamline naming. Every year Sony comes up with a more stupid name. I hope Sony mobile can survive and reduce the price.

This is so funny. Every single article about Sony, generates such a big discussion.. Thi one has 153 comments already, and counting!!!!!
By considering the very low sales, it is safe to asume that the Sony fan boys are a minority in this forum. It is obvious then that the Sony haters are a large number and certainly obsessed (and I do have a few in mind in this forum).
Get a life guys (and gals)

It produces one of the sharpest images with normal daylight, utilizing all the 20MP, compared to 12 and 16MP.

Where it failed was people using 20MP in lower light condition and stupidly wonder why it's grainy. You were meant to lower the resolution to 8MP to increase the light captured per pixel.

The world is dealing with lock downs, unemployment, cutting back on financial commitments, everyone will have a tough q1, q2, and q3. If you have a working phone you will stick with it. Hopefully they release a compact in q4.

Most of these companies pass off 8bit displays as true 10 bit displays.
16M colors point to the fact that it isn't true 10bit.

I don’t know what’s wrong with sony? I mena thier other products are very reliable like every other japanese brands. I love japanese brands. I have a Audio technica for 3 years, my college gift, seiko is running strong for 6 years, and i know it will last decades.. I know sony playstations, tvs, and cameras are top notch and very reliable albeit a little pricey. But their xperia department is the problem. I mean my Ps3 is a decade old, and it went through a lot.. but they charge triple the price of Chinese manufacturers and cant even match the quality. It’s definitely not sony but their phone department only.
