You know, its not just specs, design, camera and all that people consider for purchasing a phone. The price also has a big impact.

By the way, have you found the perfect phone for you for wh... moreWell, yes - iPhone 11 Pro Max ticks all the right boxes:
- iOS is a good OS;
- display with enough-but-not-too-much pixel density (because OLED, PenTile, blah-blah), low flicker coefficient (important for OLEDs, because they use PWM to regulate brightness), and it's just good (also because it's flat and doesn't have hole-punch selfie camera);
- computing power of its SoC will be enough for 5-10 years; also, fast memory;
- all rear cameras are useful (no depth/macro/filter/etc gimmicks); also, two of them have OIS;
- good build quality; also, maximum dust/water resistance (not "waterproofing"!), although I don't advise anyone to rely on it too much;
- great battery life, and power efficiency (battery life / battery capacity) is more than in almost any similarly-featured Android smartphone;
Although this is not too much, but there is no other smartphone in the market that combines all of the same advantages, not just some of them.
Of course, it has its own disadvantages (which don't really affect previous sentence):
- 64 Gb of storage in the base model;
- more RAM would also always come in handy;
- width (77.8 mm) is quite high, especially with a case (which is always a must);
- why not titanium body? Titanium is in any way better than steel, isn't it?
- USB 2.0;
- no autofocus in ultrawide camera;
- there is no evidence that Face ID is actually that secure or even more secure than fingerprint recognition; also, its convenience is arguable; also, yes, no notch is always better; and screen-to-body ratio pursuit can go to hell;
- one can't use Apple Watch (which I'd like to) without an iPhone;
- iPhone 12 Pro Max can turn out to be much cooler, but it's unclear when it comes out;
- why do I really need any smartphone when I have iPad (which is much better for browsing, videos, comics, Garageband, etc.)?.. xD

Interesting. Next year 1500 dollars for change the 3x periscope for a 5x one. In 2022 1700 for 10x optical zoom... Don't forget call your bank before if something goes wrong after purchase it... Idem for other brands.
Congratulations. Keep buying and encourage prices to continue to rise. Next year why even use a USB-C or selfie camera? That cost $20 to produce. Pay $2000 for them is you want features...

The only problem that I can see is the asking price .... It's just too much to justify it against the likes of Oneplus or xiaomi .
If they realize that and drop the price I think it may have a chance

The + version has more radio bands and a faster CPU but no memory slot. Given the risk of filling up 256GB, I'd go with the standard version. Actually, probably neither. I still remember my Moto X Pure having all support terminated without VoLTE ever working.
