S Irfan, 18 May 2020I Was Waiting for This Phone for a Very Long Time.
But Now After the Announcement I'm Plannin... morerealme x2 pro might be better in term of pricing, features but it use last year soc sd855+ .. and this poco f2 pro use sd 865 ... which might be slightly better in term of performance...
BUT imho, both of the above are trash... get new iphone se or save up a bit more and get proper brand like last year oneplus flagship, galaxy s or even pixel 4.
Jayant , 18 May 2020Xiaomi only messed things up. Since 5g is not available in india it is very stupid of them to ... moreExcuse me...What ?
First it doesn't have IR facial recognition, which is a shame, every smartphone that have a pop up but doesn't have a Vivo V17 Pro's sized one with 3D facial recognition (dot projector + IR camera and potentially IR flash, UV camera and UV flash) is a big waste of potential.
Facial recognition (the regular 2D type) is way too convenient to get rid of it, many peoples use it because it is ultra convenient, so using sensors to lift it up to the most secure biometric and security system available would be useless ?
Same with underdisplay FPS, that's the most convenient place to put a fingerprint scanner, and with ultrasonic ones like the 3D Sonic Max that is the most secure FPS available and the only affordable large area fingerprint scanner (which will bring us closer to the fullscreen underdisplay fingerprint scanner), that's also a shame to put anything else than this monster on a phone...
Also, I'd pay an extra 50¤ anyday to have a metal one and an extra 100¤ to have a titanium phone, for having already broken the display of a Sony XA simply by having it in my pocket and seating, I won't accept anything less solid than Aluminium (included).
I prefer paying a little more and have a solid phone than paying a cheap thing that'll break.
If you want a useless thing to remove : 5G, not really usable network are ready now, it cost a lot, when it will be ready in few years you'll already change your phone, and the first gen of phones that'll sell when real 5G network will be available will simply have an outdated hardware as probably many changes will be necessary to make it work properly, so having a 5G phone right now is totally stupid and useless except if you live near one of the rare already working 5G network and don't get far from it, which is a really tiny part of the population, and it cost an arm too !

Zero, 18 May 2020So Poco F2 might have the Snapdragon 768G?Xiaomi better not sleep on the opportunity.
MrKk, 18 May 2020it's a great phone with all the features & powerful chipset, but the lack of microSD slot ... moreWhen you have UFS-3.1 LPDDR-5 BT-5.1 USB-3.1 WiFi-6 then i would only consider external cards if it is microSD-Express.

Despite the raising price, and its due to POCO team fails to find SD8xx series dropping price as soon as expected, it's still a very solid phone. Since it's a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro, which already has reviews everywhere, this phone is gonna suit most people, if they buy it. Its positioning is also still as smart as F1: do not disturb the flagship territory that Mi series conquer but stay above Redmi Note series. POCO F series really fills the hole in between those two.
AnonD-896879, 18 May 2020It has oisXiaomi says it doesn't, so what's your source who knows better?
They should have just launch redmi k30 pro globally instead of ruining the name POCO. They should make poco as a gaming phone at lowest price or two version gamer and lite. You know what spec gamer needs.
16MP camera or below
Above 6GB RAM 128+Storage
Sd865 5G
120hz+ display
Stable 60fps or 120fps
Highest resolution screen
Gyroscope
5000+Mah 7hr+ battery on gaming.
Speed charging.
No people buy flagship phone only gamer do. Rich people buy flagship phone for showoff and they definitely go for One+ or Apple or samsung.
Pierrolalune, 18 May 2020The main camera is an IMX 686, and it have OIS It has ois
This is an article that manages to have a lot many words, but says absolutely nothing. No opinion, no insight. Just a fluff piece that says the F2 Pro is neither good nor bad. Anyway, the F2 Pro is not a patch on the F1. The F1 was a masterpiece on design, operations, logistics and costing. I can wager a guess whoever was responsible for the F1 is no longer with the company.
Nothing is hot. Poco 2 twice the price of Poco 1. Inflation, inflation, inflation. Two or three years ago for that money one was able to buy samsung s8, now poco. Inflation, inflation, inflation!!! Stupid industry. Then they wonder why there are declines in sales. Oh, I forgot, it will be covid's fault, not the high prices.
no Microsd slot is deal breaker for me
Pierrolalune, 18 May 2020The main camera is an IMX 686, and it have OIS
Poco F2 Pro and Redmi k30 pro do not have OIS on any of the sensors!
K30 Pro Zoom has OIS on main and 3x telephoto sensors!

Pierrolalune, 18 May 2020The main camera is an IMX 686, and it have OIS The two things (camera sensor model and OIS) are separate from each other. It's that main sensor, but only the Zoom Edition has OIS. I'd rather have had OIS in the main sensor than that Telemacro camera.
In the world of Corona, I think it's too expensive.
I think this device will fail as the rich go for top tier flagships, and the middle class try to economize.
I think it may be a case of the right product with the wrong marketing at the wrong time.
It needed to be cheaper, as that is what people expect to get from Poco.
Maybe an LCD 90 +Hrz screen and a plastic back panel like the F1.
I think that the Poco clientele would have accepted those compromises more readily. Less flashy, more capacity for less money was the Poco formula.
This isn't it.
