I am not surprised, No1 failure of Pixel without any arguments!
How on earth could you put such a miniscule battery in a fone in 2020, how much extra effort does it take and how just bad it can be with with a bigger battery??
I can say 9/10 people would have traded a bigger battery than a slimmer look anyday!
Battery is definitely among the top 3 requirements feature of anyone, between, the Display, camera, and battery, tell me that I am wrong in any real user survey!
Who gives a damn about how fantastic if it will run out of juice halfway during the day,
People are using more of their fones more than ever, stupid.....

The problem is the battery.
Also I would have loved a finger print sensor on the back, but i guess it's me against the world, on this one (no fingerprint sensor sucks, finger print sensors under the screen is stupid gimic).

Google fail, because it didn't make a product that customer want. Yes, they made a good camera, but majority of people care about design. If only google used galaxy s20 design, and put its hardware, I bet it will sell like crazy

another example of management disaster that doesn't want to listen the developer/engineer in order to appease stockholder who doesn't understand the market and only want some quick cash grab.
common issue under companies bureaucracy. if you wanted to succeed, then give your developer/engineer more creative freedom.

Wow. If the main Pixel lead and the camera guy left, this means something is really wrong with Google's management.
Well, not that Google is serious anyway with the phone. So my guess is they left simply because the company doesn't really care anyway.

In my opinion the Pixel 5 should have the following things:
-fingerprint reader
-3.5mm audio jack and they have to keep the great speakers of the Pixel 3a
-display with accurate colors (display of the 3a isn't very accurate)
-good battery
Regarding the camera:
-there must be a color temperature slider in auto mode, furthermore white balance and color reproduction need to be more accurate
-HDR+ enhanced (this is a fast Night Sight mode, which also leads to fewer blurry photos than Night Sight) needs to come back
-main camera (wide-angle, 26mm) needs to have a larger sensor with big pixels (but at least 12 megapixels), if a sharp lens is possible. This will improve the image quality of dark shadows at base Iso and will make the shadows slider more useful
-full frame 864mm² equivalent f-number should be f/8.5 or better, if the lens is good. Though if they use a full frame equivalent f number that is smaller than f/8, there needs to be a variable aperture
-autofocus must be consistent, Pixel 3a autofocus is very disappointing
-second camera should be a 64 megapixel Bayer wide-angle camera, similar to the Galaxy S20
-third camera should be a periscope tele camera
-fourth camera should be a macro camera
-fifth camera should be an ultra wide angle camera
-dng files must be supported by Adobe
-fix the issue that digital zoom makes dead pixels visible and Night Sight suffers from many hot/dead pixels when used with a tripod
-it must be possible to turn off AI perspective distortion correction, I don't want Google to edit selfies based on assumptions
--noise performance of Google's zoom should be available at 1.0x in HDR+ enhanced mode

Anonymous, 15 May 2020Pixel 2 was fully glass, just with different colours. Actually, the Pixel 2 was not fully glass. The top section on the back panel is indeed glass, but the lower section is aluminum underneath the paint layer. The first all-glass Pixel phone was in fact the Pixel 3.
