Patiently waiting when new player comes to the market with much better technology than usual phone CPUs have for offer.
5G is just a hype then speed. In various pilot studies it is claimed that it requires obstacle free environment to operate at the speed, committed. Further, its harmful for bees, birds and humans.
Gaming smartphone market is not large enough to accommodate these many models. Let me put my word here:
ASUS will be disappointed with the sale number of its upcoming Asus ROG Phone III.

YUKI93, 15 May 2020Because you are so used to vertical or portrait mode, simple as that.Wrong, vertical or portrait mode is much more ergonomically than landscape whose main objective is for movies and gaming only.
Lenovo never gives Android update just like Oppo
The experience is probably gonna be horrendous with that 19:9 screen. Im sick of these elongated phones btw
This phone is a beast... A dangerous one at that. Could this be the perfect gaming phone??? Not far off... Giving us all a great choice for gaming phones... Never has there been so many gaming phones... And even more on there way...
"Because you are so used to vertical or portrait mode, simple as that."
Wrong. Having horizontal experience as the main interface will not work for 3 simplest reasons:
1) Simple Physics. For one handed, when you hold your phone vertically, the center of gravity is at the center of your palm, but when you hold your phone horizontally, the center of gravity is outside or at the end side of your palm/finger, which is why your phone appears to be much heavier (especially holding for long time) when holding horizontally, and also imbalance. So, you are forced to hold the phone with two hands for a good horizontal experience, I don't think this will work out because most people at most times hold their phone with one hand, and press the touch screen with the same hand or another hand, not holding with 2 hands. I am talking about using horizontal experience as the main interface all the time.
2) anything related to scrolling content up and down (example: social media scrolling, webpage scrolling, document scrolling) are not suitable for mobile phone horizontal mode, because the width of the screen is simply not large enough, without making the text smaller that is not visible to eye. Horizontal screen like computers work for scrolling content up and down because the width of screen is large enough, with proper size of text visible enough for eye.
3) anything that used as horizontal such as gaming, watching video, gaming live streaming are considered as a small percentage usage. There are a whole a lot to do on the phone that is better on vertical mode, for example as above: anything related to scrolling.
So, you can't have horizontal experience as the main interface, but have the usual vertical experience as main interface and horizontal experience as a secondary interface - this will work, as simple as that.

RickyBoy, 15 May 2020Navigating the phone in landscape mode is very irritating to me, gaming phone or notBecause you are so used to vertical or portrait mode, simple as that.

It's finally a new idea for phones/mobiel gadgets. Theres plenty of kiddos using their phone mainly for twitch, discord, fortnite and pubg. Would be a perfect phone for them, also it's design seem to fit. But it totally needs front facing speaker system..which don't seem to happen...but ye, im not the target group.
This is for online game streaming where your face is broadcasted during the game. But the side camera might be a problem on pocket accidental opening.
So by all logic a 19.5:9 or 20:9 ratio would be rather idiotic, 16:9 wouldn't be too dumb but the smart choice here would be a 16:10 panel. Still, this sounds like it will be a touchscreen handheld pc (not the same as a pda). I'm guessing the batteries need their own cooling loops or just more cooling space so the pcb will be in the middle of the phone. Also ohms law comes into play here so the length of the wires going to the batteries is also critical(20v charging still needs a step down converter somewhere).
The Voice of Reason, 15 May 2020Either it's 16:9 (at most 16.5:9) or GTFO.I don't think we would be seeing that since all smartphone brands of today thinks 16:9 screen is outdated (which I found it ironic since most, if not all TV series are still being recorded in 16:9 aspect ratio).
I can see Lenovo's logic for this phone. After all, I see a lot of mobile gamers live streaming their mobile gaming session.
