there are transparent back glasses out there
mi phones don't have waterproofing anyway so just replace it

I don't know… I don't really want to see all the PCB mess. It just feels like a remote control which has lost its battery cover (only it's for the entire back, not just the battery compartment).
I suppose some people would buy it, though.

its just a phone with transparent glass back (more appropriately unpainted glass back), explorer edition wont be like this, they will cover it with plastic-skin-with-high-tech-looks under the transparent glass

This is the only reason we should have glass on the backside of our phones, everything else(glass) are gimmicks.

The last time they released an Explorer phone the transparent glass showed fake internals. This time it looks legit.
