Alex 94, 15 May 2020Oled is not better in every aspect. Sure, it's better, but in long term use no.It's better for the first year until the keypad starts to burn into the screen and ruin the display. A high quality LCD is the best overall choice as it will basically look just as good as day one forever

Anonymous, 16 May 2020Redmi is unstoppable even there's pandemic. I hope they do not remove the 3.5mm jack and infrared. I hope they keep them too. Removing the jack and IR blaster would kill the Redmi Note series imo.

For long term usage like 4-5 years, will IPS display perform better than OLED? Is longevity of IPS display better than OLED display? (I am poor. That's why after buying a phone I use it as long as possible. Longevity is very important to me.) Please answer my questions.

Even super big company like Apple uses OLED on their top tier iPhones.

Well Xiaomi is lost now, i was using Xiaomi phones in time when Xiaomi phone was the best in that price range (in low end and mid range)_ yes with s..ty quality screens, with not good ambient light sensors, bit wirg good spec, batter life, and MIUI (there is no ad's here in MIUI). But it seems they gone in the wrong direcion this year, with Redmi 9 series, really.

Also oled are difficult to use under direct sun light

Punch hole in oled is very expensive because thenly need to pay Samsung for it
And smaller battery ? If there is a sufficient place then you could have 10000000mah
But at least you have faster charging
It is a good upgrade but I don't love paying for 5G simply because there is no 5g here why paying 10% more for the modem + more for antennas + it drains battery + .....
