Basically to remove all reliance on fresh technology and become self sustainability.

China is aiming not to get stuck in “Middle income Trap” (3000-12000 GDP per capita) that so many countries go stuck ex., Brazil, Mexico.

So yeah Trump in one way helping accelerate Chineseindigenous manufacturing push.

Samsung literally now has no competition in the US market for premium Android, especially for brand marketshare.

Of course that will bring Apple back on shore.
This is a company that pays 0% taxes around the world.

Apple can afford to pay the US import tariff & still make profit by manufacturing in 3rd countries(low wages and closer to supply chain). They sell their products all over the world.
"Made in US" will also increase prices for non-US markets where they will compete with cheaper made products.

I can see an iPhone SE 2021 at $1k for Chinese consumers. :-)
