If the world can't work together by now then it never will. Countries are actually becoming more insular and conservative. Humanity is regressing. It's depressing.

This is going too far. I wouldn't be surprised if this lands up in court. It is like when they seized another companies mask supply they paid for, from another country. This is going to land up the Chinese making its own chip making technology, the US loosing control of that and most of the profit. The Chinese have massively invested in growing their own alternatives everytime the Americas have done this. It is heading towards costing the Americans trillions of dollars. The US, heading towards being a third world country.

They have no right to restrict independent foreign companies from trading purely foreign country made parts, just because a paperwork hole punch they use was made in the US. Same thing as using any other formerly owned US equipment. It has passed ownership beyond the US.

They will develop their own IP's while future is in open hardware. They won't lose jobs as a meter of fact they will produce more it just won't have any US prefix.

Dafuq man..if this is true..then it's overkill already..yeah i get it if it's only targeting huawei..but if it's involve its affiliates too, man...everything is involved..if a company as big as TSMC also affected...then Apple from the US itself is affected, Intel, Samsung, Nvidia, AMD, all other companies too...Oppo, Vivo etc etc...they may have not linked to Huawei directly, but somehow big companies usually have some kind of relationship with one another..they are linked to each other..supply, labor, raw materials, u name it..if Huawei can't do nothing on it's products anymore, if can affect other countries too..this is not only be US-China problem, this can be an all out world war..

Even with those restrictions for Huawei/Honor, Apple.. US brand (made in China but thats a another story), are now 4-th in the world.. :( behind Samsung, Xiaomi (yes because of ban, Xiaomi god second spot), and 3-th is Huawei (was 2), but Apple is 4-th.

Retaliation of what?? Using licensed architecture doesn't mean you can make your own processor, stealing IP using widely available free source code without stipulate to the GPL (and others) and cheat your own people thinking its your own IP due to lock of information has bloat your own ego thinking you can do everything? Shutting down Apple, Amazon and others and go back to the pre 'free trade' market 25 years ago? Or going declare war vs near all others? Stop playing both power house and weak underdog card at the same time.
