AnonD-928247, 15 May 2020don't want to get into a argument how I see it. Trump administration is taking the mick out of... moreif china shutdown foxconn, those companies just need to change to other companies like foxconn, and there's a lot of them out there from taiwan, vietnam, india.. and south america will be joined soon. Who will hurt more if china shutdown foxconn? of course US will suffer, but china will suffer more.. btw, motorola is now subsidiary of lenovo/china

China retaliation will hurt us badly. Imagine they just ban snapdragon out of chipset , already mediatek is progressing very much. Taiwan economy will cripple too, so either taiwan manufacturers will cut ties with us or china will stop importing apple. Targeting huawei has already made huge mess with Samsung heavily raised prices, thanks to xiomi which kept itin control. But now even xiomi is taking advantage and prices have shot up... 2020 end is getting to see more drastic challenges. If china is clever can hurt america by raising tax and discouraging agricultural and diary products.

don't want to get into a argument how I see it. Trump administration is taking the mick out of china. Personally if I were china I would just shutdown Foxconn, stop making Apple, Motorola products, he would soon change his mind.

I can see foreign companies stop using US tech if the US government restricts who they can sell to. Seems like too much of a hassle if they need a license from the US government every time they sell something involving US tech. The world will eventually move along without US involvement. Which isn't really in the interest of the US, but isolating the US is what Trump is working very hard to do.

And the war is going on! I think nobody will eventually win. Not now! Maybe 10 years ago it would have been possible, or 5 years ago, but not now. But hey, time will tell everything.

So US bans them, they find a way around it and still live in the end who will lose? Seems trick that almost collapsed ZTE isn't working this time. Huawei is no ZTE and here's a whole Nation fighting one private company. I feel ashamed for the US

US basicaly made all manufacturing in China and now regretting that because China became too powerful. But that's always problem of all these superpower countries. China is same so let them play their games.
