This "stem" design is not unique to Apple, because I'm sure you haven't noticed but literally every single traditional wired earbuds before the "everything wireless" craze Apple is forcing upon us looks like this. The type of earbud that doesn't sit in the ear canal isn't unique to Apple either.

Apple out here spending all this R&D money and these chinese manufacturers are just copying this design like it's the only way you can make a pair of wireless earbuds. So much for originality.

Why every other Chinese company copies this apple wireless crap? I like the designs of Samsung & Nokia in wireless but still I don't like the so called true wireless technology.
It has high chances to get lost. Plus wired earphones are always been good quality sound producing devices.
